An update

Well, I'm now holding a letter from the gender specialist that explains I am living full time as a male, on my way to making the legal, physical, and social changes from female to male. She also has said for me to go full-time male - meaning use the men's room, go by the name I chose, and such - and she's setting up to meet with the other two VA-appointed shrinks and my surgeon.
 
My new neighbors are fine. They even helped me get the yard in order.
 
The next step sounds like going on T; but the surgeon wants me to wait until the wound heals - but it's been over 8 months already and it hasn't healed.
 
I'll learn more on Wednesday - the surgeon wants to see me once a week until things are as they should be.
