TGIF!!!!!

Friday night:  What a day!!!  I woke up late and was out of sorts to begin the day.  Rush, rush, rush!  One of my students was a real stinker today and had to visit the principal's office twice!  He is in our autistic class but most of his problems are behavioral.  The other para in the room was not handling the situation well and actually escallating things even more.  ARGH!!!  The teacher was out so the sub, although very good, was still not sure about what to do.  I did what was needed and tried all I could to stay away from the pricipal's but that just was not meant to be.  The boy has ISS all week next week.  If only they had ISS for para's.......I actually had to tell him to stop arguing with the student!  On a lighter note Scott's friend, Ashli, brought the baby, Mason, over to see me, as promised.  He is so sweet.  I played with him and eventually rocked him to sleep.  It felt good to have a wee one in the rocker.  Not that I would want one all the time!  When he cried I knew that was not something I have ever missed!  Adam, his friend Wesley, and Melissa were also here.  I found myself laughing at their youthfulness. Since Scott died, the house has been much more quiet.  It was nice to have the chaos and laughter.  Melissa is very sick.  She has the CF and I am very concerned about her having pnuemonia. (sp?) She does not look or sound good.  She is on an antibiotic but I am not sure it is doing what it needs to do.  She will be 20 tomorrow.  I adore her and am so afraid we will lose her too soon due to her illness.  CF is such a horrible illness!  It was rainy and cold here again today.  It is supposed to be nice tomorrow....I will believe it when I see it!  I want to get outside and "play" in the dirt.  I want to pot some plants, plant some flowers, lettuce, potatoes, and just enjoy warmth and sun.  Although, my day in the park on Wed. left me looking like a big tomato!  I sat in the sun because it was cool and got a bit of a burn on my face.  A spark, really.  My face was REALLY red!  Here's to a nice weekend!
