Friday Night:  TGIF!  It has been a hard week for me.  I am glad it is OVER!  We picked Craig's mower up tonight so that is out of the way.  I have to get grocery's this weekend but aside from that, I am staying home!  Although we may go out for a CHEAP dinner tomorrow night.  Golden Corral.  I love that place...pretty good food and you can waddle out the door! lol  And, I will go to the cemetery but that is only a couple of miles away.  I am feeling a little better than I was last time I wrote.  I still feel pretty funky but not as much.  We have been doing MAP testing at school this week.  Although "my" autistic kids don't take it I have been helping out with another student not in our class.  I enjoyed it but the changes in schedules have made it stressful for everyone.  Adam & I have been unable to fish yet.  The weather has been too yucky and the rivers & lakes have been flooded.  I want peace and comfort.  I am not into freezing, getting wet, or fighting flood waters.  I have been planning our vacation.  I could stay home but Craig is adament that we go.  So, we are.  I have to admit the planning has been kind of fun and a good distraction.  We are going to Mesa Verde, CO, 4 Corners, Bryce Canyon, UT, southern end of the Royal Gorge, Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, etc.  And hopefully, the Antique Roadshow, in Wichita, on the way.  (I had tickets last year but didn't go becuase Scott died only about 1 mo. before)  We have never been to any of these places.  I am now figuring out how long to stay in each place and how much the whole thing will cost.  The plans could change, for sure!  If anyone has been to these places, please let me know anything you know!  I am relying on input from everyone I know.  We will stay at KOA"s in their camping.  I love that.  It is sort of like tent camping without the tent.  The trip will make me sad, too.  This is a trip we planned to take several years ago and couldn't because Scott seriously broke his ankle...2 screws...so he couldn't do all that walking.  Then, I purchased my store and blah, blah, blah.  On the other hand, it may just do me good to get away.  We'll see.  Peace to all.

The trip should be a good distraction for you - new places, new things to focus on - change of scenery should refresh your soul - and leave you feeling rested. I\'ve never been to any of those places, but I hope you find someone to give you some insight as to how they will be. I also wanted you to know - that I\'m posting daily prayers for all of us moms on a prayer site and asking for special prayers for your mom.
Take care - and hope you enjoy the weekend. Love & hugs,

Your trip is a good idea. I find it is better for me when I am busy. Next school year, they want to send my daughter to a special school. Taking her out of our school district has made me sad. I was hoping to keep her here because of my Son, but have to do what is best for her. She is not independant enough for the intermediate school. She tires easily and the other school has a shorter day. Will be waiting to hear more about your trip. Love Joanne

I work in Nevada, and used to live here for many years until we bought our home in Iowa, to be closer to Jordan, yep. Anyway, there is a beautiful campground 30 miles west of St. George, Utah. It is called Pine Valley. We stayed there last year, and it was amazing! The trout fishing was great! Also, you won\'t be far away from Ely,(pronounced Elee) Nevada. They have a wonderful camping area around a great trout hole called Cave Lake. Ely is beautiful. I have been to the Royal Gorge many times, and it is very pretty. St. Geoge also has some outlet stores, at the south end of town, just off I-15, with good shopping, if you are interested. I do hope you are able to enjoy your trip. I am apprehensive about me and my husband\'s upcoming trip to Jamaica. I want so badly to have a good time. Our marriage has been so rocky with everything we\'ve been through. Let me know if you want any more ideas. I lived and travelled throughout Nevada for almost 20 years. Me and my boys loved to explore. There are so many beautiful things to see. Love and hugs, Barbara

Your trip sure sounds like a good idea! When my husband and I were married eight years ago, we went on our honeymoon to Durango,Co. One day we went riding and went to Mesa Verde, and the the scenery was just so pretty everywhere. It was March, so there was still plenty of snow on the mountains, yet you could drive far enough to find a warm sunny spot.
We have not been on a long trip since before my son Justin passed away in August 2007. That will come with time , I guess.
I hope your trip goes so well, and please take lots of pics to show us !!!
