Today has been a really strange one.  I slept really late.  I hated to waste part of the day but I really needed to sleep.  I was just getting ready to leave when there was a knock at my door.  It was a "boy" I have known since he was about 9.  His mom used to babysit Chris.  Then, when he was 15, he was my 1st C-Star child (substance abuse).  My husband and I were licensed Therapeutic Foster Parents for many years.  Anyway, this "boy" is now 31.  He stayed about 4 hrs. and it was an awesome visit.  It did, however, throw me off on all my other stuff.  But, people are more important than the stuff we do so I just settled in.  In the meantime my son, Adam, came home.  He has be-friended a 17 year old girl with loads of problems.  As much as my heart goes out to her I just can't take anymore stress on.  She is being bounced around from home to home and I believe would just stay here if she could.  She can't.  As selfish as that may sound, I just can't do it.  I am trying so hard to keep my own family connected and healing.  I have talked to her quite a bit, though.  And, I think she has become very good at being the victim.  Finally, Adam's girlfriend got here from work and they left to take the other girl home and go see Chris for his last DJ/Karaoke night of the season.  I guess I must have been "holding my breath" for several hours because when they left I took a huge breath and began to relax.  I am going to have to have Adam keep her away.  It is just too much drama for me right now.  Earlier today Craig's dad, 85, called and wanted Adam to take him to the acct. to pick up his taxes.  Adam wasn't home and when he did call his Grandpa, his Grandpa just started b------g at him about one thing or another.  Well, Craig wound up taking him although he was busy in the garage changing oil, working on his Harley, lawnmower, etc.  He just wanted to putz around doing the guy stuff and drink a few beers.  The crazy thing is Craig told him he would pick his Dad's stuff up on Mon. as his work is only about 3 miles away from the acct.  But, his Dad just had to have it today!  So that took about 3 hrs. out of Craig's day and he wound up being very crabby.  So, everybody here has been Helter Skelter and it makes me a nervous wreck!  I just don't have the strength for chaos.  Here's hoping for a better day tomorrow! Oh yea....an angel moment...I looked at my west field this afternoon and there were 50-100 Robins in my field!  I have never seen that many in one place!  One came very close to my house.  I thought, "Oh, it is Scotty and all of our angels."  True or not it was a peaceful moment, very awesome, and a sign Spring is coming!

A surprise visit - sounds nice - hope you enjoyed it. It\'s amazing how our elderly parents want things done when they want them done. My mom was the same way - now or never & you\'ll have to listen to me moan. Childlike in ways.

I feel for the girl - but aren\'t their any agencies she can apply to for help? She\'s so young, Josh\'s age - I can\'t imagine him bouncing around all over the place. Does she work? Maybe a job and a roommate would be her best bet right now - something to pursue -
I know there\'s a website if you google it - called Roommate finder or something like that - I\'ll keep her in my prayers. I think you have enough on your plate right now - and really don\'t need the added stress.
God bless you honey - I bet the scene of the robins was gorgeous -
did any of them have a fire chief hat on? (Smile) Love you, Deni

Nope - don\'t need the added stress. The girl will have to handle her own situations... you are not being mean... just realistic. You can only give so much. Hang in there. Here for you... thanks for the hug you sent tonight.

I think it is sooo wise for you to choose not to add anything or anyone to your life right now. There will be another time when you can handle all that stuff, if you want. I am so glad that you had a little sleep in you needed the rest and that you had a wonderful visit. Take care of yourself and have a good Sunday!

You take on what you can, and I think your family is going through enough at the moment. Very wise not to take on more. I hope you get some relaxation time. Sounds like you need it. I love the robins. I\'m still waiting to see them here. Won\'t be for a bit yet, we still have snow. I\'m glad to hear that they are on the way though. I\'m so looking forward to spring and my gardening, that is my therapy. Love and Hugs.
