Saw my counselor today.  It was a good visit and I didn't fall apart too much.  I discussed the whole weekend incident with him and he is in agreement that it was just rude.  My assignment for this week is to leave Scott's door open.  It has only been open the past 8 1/2 mos. when I am in there.  He said just to open it a little.  I will try.  It is not like I think Scott is in there.  It's just with the door open it will require me to take another step on my journey.  That is the step of acceptance.  That is a HUGE step for me.  I still argue with myself about the whole thing.  After counseling I met my son Chris and his girlfriend, Kristen, for pizza.  We had a good visit.  I ran some errands and came home.  Now, I am going to have a quick brandy and go to bed.  This time change has been hard for me.  I stay up too late, anyway.  With the change I stayed up even later.  Next week is another round of EMDR.  I hate going to counseling but it truly does seem to be helping.  Thank you and peace to each and everyone of you.

We have to do what is best for us now, whether we like it or not. I would continue the counseling if it does help. I never closed Melissa\'s door to her room. I used to go in her room alot, now I just walk by. I still can\'t bring myself to put all her stuff away yet. Maybe this spring, not sure have to get by the 23rd of April first. Love and Hugs.

I\'m glad the counseling and EMDR are helping. We do what we have to do to help ourselves, hun. If counseling, meds or whatever bring about a positive change than we owe it to ourselves to do it. Love ya, Adrianne

i finally went thru some of joeys things in the basement.i didnt panic, all it made me realize that they were just things his body wore, they arent him now.i see joey now as a beautiful orb of light body shining and free. his 3rd dimensional things are just that..his body stuff..the more i embrace who he is now the more i let go of his body and his things.

Remember that we are all here for you - if the door is open or closed.
If it helps in some way - take the therapists advice - each step, slowly until you can cope with it. Fun night out - pizza & good company. God bless you. Take care - love & hugs,

I agree counselling is helpful. The door is just a symbol, try not to give it too much meaning. Acceptance only comes when you choose it, nobody can force you to accept. Go at your own pace and don\'t be pushed. Supporting you now and always. Love and hugs cathy
