Thursday...I made it through the hearing today and counseling yesterday.  The hearing was a little tough but I feel like it went ok.  Doesn't really matter how it turns out, it was unfinished business and I needed to finish it. I took a personal day off work. It was so SLICK out when I was driving. We had freezing rain, sleet, and a bit of snow.  I am not a wuss about driving in winter weather but this one was tough.  At one point I just wanted to pull over and cry.  It was scary.  There a lot of crazy drivers out there!!!!  I did fine, it was the "other guy" I was worried about.  At one point I did slip a little and I heard Scott somewhere in my head say, "Don't worry Mom.  I gotcha'."  Real or not?  Don't know or care.  It was calming.  They did not cancel school today.  We are getting more winter stuff tonight so I am hoping for a snow day tomorrow.  Of course, when it gets to be summer and I am still going to work, I will be right here complaining about that.  Someone remind me!  To everyone reading....hope you are finding a little peace in your life.

I am white knuckled most times when I drive now. Like you I worry about the other person. We know how fragile life is now and there are many crazy drivers. I\'m happy you made it through the hearing OK. I\'m also happy you heard Scott\'s calming voice. Hang on to those \"signs\", believe!!! Thinking of you. Love Robin

I have a hard time sometimes driving as Melissa died in an accident, weather conditions only complicate it. I am glad the hearing is over for you. Sounds like you had your angel with you. Thats wonderful. Love and Hugs.

yes, i truly believe its real when they speak to us. one of my sons, when he was 18, was driving and he suddenly heard a voice really loud yell at him \' TURN RIGHT NOW!\'
he did, and right in front of him 6 deer were crossing the road...had he not turned he would have had a horrible collision..he called me that day and said \'mom..i think dad talked to me last night!!!\' he was awestruck by the voice..sometimes they are louder, sometimes a soft voice..joey has many times, softly whispered when i am afraid and in the car \'its okay mom dont worry\'.

So glad the hearing is over for you, and you\'re right, it doesn\'t matter in the long run. What will be, will be. Life is too short to worry about things we can\'t change. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for you. Love and hugs, Dawn

Glad the hearing went well and that counselling is going onward too. I now drive John\'s truck and I find it a comfort just knowing it\'s his. Hope your weekend brings you peace and comfort. Love and hugs Cathy

I\'m so happy to hear you trip was safe - those scary rides are not fun, and I believe he was there to keep you going - and to tell you it would be ok. We had a storm here last night - and school was canceled. It doesn\'t take much in NJ for them to cancel school. I hope you do get a day off and a day to just rest and relax and unwind after this week.
In my prayers.....
