I went to a Compassionate Friends mtg. on Tues. eve. Before I went I met a few of the other Moms at a restaurant. This restaurant was one of Scott's favorites so it was hard to go. I just ordered coffee as I had already eaten. I did not recognize the waitress but as it turns out she was one of Scott's friends since the 6th grade. She knew me. Her hair color was changed, etc. Anyway, it was sort of strange that I was sitting in a restaurant that was a favorite of Scott's and being waited on by one of his friends. Hmmmm? The meeting was, as always, helpful and hard. I did decide to see a counselor about the post traumatic stress. Today I scheduled and appt. for the 28th. I was feeling pretty funky tired after the Tues. mtg. Turns out I was getting (already) sick. I have been home for 2 days with upper resp. stuff. I am going back to work tomorrow. I am still not feeling great but it will be Fri. and I have a 3 day weekend. I slept a lot and do feel better. Chris made it back from Vegas. I am glad he is back home! I did not like him being so far away. I am so paranoid now and somehow it makes me feel better when he is just minutes away. Not that that would change a thing if something happened. I just like knowing he is near. Good News! The ins. co. finally paid. I got the check and have been able to pay back the money for the funeral. I am going to order a headstone on Sat. FINALLY! Now I just have the Social Security hearing in Feb. and I will be finished with the business end of things. That is a relief! But, it also scares me because it will make free space in my mind and I am afraid of what I will fill it with. One minute, one breath at a time.....

I\'m glad Chris made it back ok and that the business end is going good. Don\'t worry about what you fill your mind with, I\'m sure it will fill up with wonderful memories of Scott. Hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself. Love and hugs, Dawn
Sounds like a few good things are happening. I\'m sorry you\'re feeling lousy. Take care. We all know that our immune systems aren\'t where they need to be. Have a restful weekend. Thinking of you. Love Robin
Take care of yourself...and maybe you can fill the freespace with good things...we are so used to anticipating the worst...because the worst has happened to us...but maybe you will be able to fill it with a goal? Relax this weekend and give your body a chance to recover...love and hugs...Karen
I\'m glad Chris is back home, and that you did get out - and socialize for a little bit. I keep wondering if I have PTSD, I think I do - three family members in one year, and two jobs? Plugging away day by day job searching - it\'s been a tremendous amount of stress & single parenting is not easy, no matter what age the child is.
When you think about it - look how much time you\'ve invested in helping all of us here? With more free time - you may want to continue to help others - find a project you\'re interested in - or just invest the time on yourself - to do things you enjoy. I have about 6 more weeks for Shauns headstone to be placed, still waiting for copies of the final proofs. All of here are with you, taking one minute, one breath at at time. You\'ve become very special to me - I want you to know that.
Oh what great news.Sorry to hear your feeling lousy.Rebecca has missed school the last two days some kind of virus, throwing up and all that comes with it.She\'ll have the weekend to recover from wathever she has.Funny I go behind here and spray desinfectante spray when she touches anything.I\'m so glad that you finally get Scott\'s headstone and pay off the funeral. What a relief for your family.Take Care.God Bless.jfm24,Vicki
Good news about the ins. check. What do you think of CF? I\'ve been thinking about going to the local group, but I\'m not sure how I\'ll do.
That has got to take some of the stress off you now. Yes, maybe you will have more time for yourself. Do something you enjoy doing.
Take care,
Astrid
I know what you are talking about with our children travelling and being away. I am like that now. I\'m so scared now that I will loose another child and I don\'t want to be like that. I try not to be, but it\'s very hard. I\'m happy for you that the insurance is out of the way. Maybe you could take up a new craft or something to fill that time. Something that you enjoy doing. Love and Hugs.
I\'m glad that the insurance finally came through! It seems to take a long time. I just got over a upper respiratory infection...it\'s going around. I hope that you have a good weekend!
honey, right now concentrate on feeling better. try to have a peaceful long weekend. give Chris a hug for me. just take it one minute at a time. once things are settled you have all of us to devote all your time to. :) know that i am here and will help any way i can. we can muddle our way through this path. know that you are loved! ~ charlayne
YOU SHALL LAY DOWN AND YOUR SLEEP WILL BE SWEET AND HEALING LOVE JODY
I am glad you are healing slowly and that you are seeking support. Take care, you are in my thoughts and prayers..
Glad Chris is home safe. It must be a relief to be able to order the stone now. It\'s funny you want to have a stone but when it\'s finally installed it will knock you to your knees, somehow it makes it so final, at least that\'s how it went for me. Hoping all goes well and that you are feeling better. Love and hugs Cathy
