Sun. Night: Up/Down...My world is so crazy!  One minute I am ready to go off the deep end.  The next I find a smile.  Scott's friends made a wonderful dinner:  Casadias (sp?), scalloped potatoes, smoked pork and beef, salad, & brownies.  We had a house-full.  Mark and Greg were the main chefs. Mark has been Scott's friend since Kindergarten.  Greg, since 6th grade, and Angela, Scott's ex, friends since 6th grade. They dated since his Jr. year and even lived together for a while.  She made the brownies, Chris and his girlfriend Kristen came, Adam and his girlfriend Melissa were here along with their friend Wesley, and, Mark's mom, Leslie, who is a friend of mine.  We had tears and laughter.  Mark had some T-shirts made in Scott's memory.  Angela gave me a Coke village piece as she remembered I collect Coke stuff.  I gave the boys, each, two of Scott's knives..one large, one small.  He had been collecting since Kindergarten.  I gave Angela, Scott's ex, a skull ring.  She hated that ring because Scott would be all dressed in his preppie way and then put that ring on.  But, it seemed most appropriate that she have it.  Now, she loves it.  These are the 1st things of Scott's I have actually parted with other than his Dad and brothers going through his knives first.  It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would.  I was glad to have his memory put in other places, actually.  So, today was a good day.  I still haven't gone through the medical files.  Still procrastinating.  I have two more days before I go back to work.  Tomorrow I am taking my mother's ring to be sized and exchanging a coat I got for Adam.  I also have to pick up my meds.  Nothing too exciting.  New Year's Eve.... I am fixing Chili and cornbread, maybe renting a movie, and that is about it.  I hoped for a better year for 2007....it turned out to be the worst yet.  I am not hoping for anything for 2008.  Once again, I thank all of you wonderful ladies who encourage and inspire me.  I don't think I would still be typing without you.

The dinner with Scott\'s friends sounds like it was a good experience for you. I\'m glad they are still around to offer their support and be in your life. I know I cherish the few of Jerry\'s friends that I stay in contact with. It\'s like still having a small part of him with me. I hope 2008 is gentle on you and you are able to find some peace. With you all the way! Adrianne

Dinner sounded wonderful. You had lots of company. Sometimes it\'s good (hard) to give things away, but it seems the right thing to do. Follow your heart, Scott is helping and guiding you. Wishing you a peaceful 2008. Love and Hugs.
