Well, I have survived the 5 month anniversary of Scott's death.  I don't know how.  Everyday I wake up and think I don't know if I can do this again.  Somehow I have. One breath at a time.  I miss him more each day.  Adam, my 20 year old, and I went to Hobby Lobby this afternoon.  The art teacher at school gave me 2 chalk art Santa's to paint.  Like I said before, it is therapy and I'm not really all that artistic.  Anyway, Adam was so patient while we searched for the paints with the strange names....about 12 in all.  He also found a wonderful print of an actual photo of 2 dolphins swimming.  That is a gift for Kristen, Chris' girlfriend.  She loves the dolphins.  Adam and I also went to the $1.00 shop.  I got gifts for "my" 6 autistic boys at school.  As an extra for each of them I got Chinese finger traps.  It will either scare them, make them crazy, or they will know exactly what to do.  I also picked up a few items for the Secret Santa stuff at school.  I am trying.  I really am.  But, it will get harder as the season goes on, I know.  If I do go out to shop it will have to be late at night when the crowds are less.  Craig's sister invited us over for Thanksgiving dinner.  I don't know.  Adam doesn't want to go.  He doesn't really like this Aunt.  I am not so thrilled either.  But if that is what Craig wants to do then I guess we will. I can't really protest if it might help him.  Adam can just meet us at the movie as she is having a luncheon.  I hate this!  I just want the holidays to be over.  At least I only work 2 1/2 days this weeks.  Of course that just gives me more time to think.  The weather is nice for now, though.  It was about 65 today. (Sat.)  Tomorrow (Sun.-I haven't been to bed yet so I am still in Sat.) it is supposed to be about the same and Monday near 70.  Then....it gets cold.  We have a saying here in the Ozarks..."If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute."  You can't put any clothes away for the winter 'cause you might need them.  Same in the summer about winter clothes.  We just dress in layers all seasons. I did start painting one of the Santa's tonight.  It is tedious.  For about 1 1/2 hrs., though, I didn't really think about anything.  It is one of those things that doesn't require a lot of brain power and yet you do have to focus.  THERAPY!  I have been awful wordy tonight....guess I should get to bed since it is way past the midnight hour.  Sleep is not coming easy to me tonight.

I try not to dred the holidays, because just maybe (and it\'s a slight maybe) they won\'t be as bad as we anticipate. That\'s what I\'m hoping and praying for. I\'m sorry you\'re not sleeping well. Take care of yourself. Sleepless nights make me much sadder. I\'m glad you were able to spend some time with Adam. Have a nice week and thanksgiving. Put on your game face like we all will be doing. Thinking of you. Love Robin

Holidays suck but together we will get through. Sometimes words are all we have and I believe they are good therapy. Keep up the good work and know we are all here for you. Love and hugs Cathy
