Dear DS diary,
The other night, we had flooding problems break out in the basement of my house after a heavy rain that dumped a general 2.5 to 3 inches of rain all over the greater Boston area.  It came very suddenly but we got pumps going quickly enough that only very minor damage to a couple of things was sustained.  It still screwed things up for a couple of days, though, and it will likely be one more day before I'm caught up with my friends.
Another reason that things are a relative mess at the moment is that we're going to be shorthanded at work for a while.  One of my fellow technicians is leaving to work at a hospital, tomorrow is her last day.  It does kinda scare me, because I know how difficult it has been for the pharmacy to land new staff of any kind...not easy to do when the place doesn't offer any benefits.  So even though some resumes have come in, it's anyone guess when the void will be filled.
I mentioned this to my life coach yesterday, because even though I need to work on getting something better eventually, I would also hate to leave them short two people for what they need to do.  He asked me a legitimate question: How long was I willing to wait?
I didn't have an answer.  I still don't.
