Dear DS diary,
Somebody tried to friend me this week, but she left so many comments in so little time on so much of my stuff that she actually scared me off, I felt she was too interested in me. She is now blocked.
Other than that, today is one of those days that just simply put does not treat me very well at all. It's a trigger day, 9/11 is, because it acts as another one of those this-world-is-not-a-safe-place to be days.
It's a day that will never go away, I remember it too vividly. I don't live anywhere near NYC, but there was absolutely no avoiding the news at around 8:45 am at the office where I worked at the time, and had been for barely a week. The lead IT guy's office was more of a newsroom for at least two hours after the first plane hit. For a while everything in the office just ground to a screeching halt. The Boston Globe did something it never does normally; it published an evening edition that was all about the attacks. And these are just the parts that I care to share tonight.
Days like this I find impossible. It's hard to stay focused for long. I was working for the third straight day and was showing signs of fatigue from that...I finally left early when it looked like things were close enough to being under control. I'd had a breakdown over the above the night before which made falling asleep a dog, amplifying matters. And it's clear as day that I'm not going to finish my study guide in time like I planned now...I am going to have to hope the companion sites I've set up do enough to save my ass.
Just generally speaking, I'm in a bad mood. So if I'm quiet tonight, I'm very sorry.

That would be scary having someone show so much interest so quick. Good idea blocking her.
Today is a sad day for sure. I remember how horrific it was for everyone. I can only imagine how the families left behind must be trying to cope.
Good you were able to leave early being so tired. Sorry you won\'t have time to finish your study guide. Just do what you can.
