Dear DS diary,
Today I am trying the tactic of reading only the first and last sentences of each paragraph of my study guide for the PCC exam.  I am not having the easiest time telling if it is any useful though, because a bad night's sleep -- remember how last night my morale effectively broke -- I am finding my brain very fuzzy at best and progress is proving hard to come by.
I really shouldn't be surprised...sleeping consistently is still a problem and as a result of this I still have a significant sleep debt overall.  I read in a news article earlier this week that it is not easy to be on the ball when you're not sleeping well, because merely sleeping in is not enough to make up for the cognitive losses from lack of sleep.  It made sense to me because I'm experiencing it myself.
What's making this frustrating is that I am indeed popping out from time to time, and it's clear that I won't gain what I want to for a couple of days yet.  It honestly probably won't matter much because I already know I'm going to need help from the comparison sites I've lined up to help me review for this thing.  I've only four weeks to go until my first attempt now,,,and I already feel more than a little overwhelmed, which can't be helping the sleep pattern.
(sigh) I wish I felt like I was capable of doing this...
