Dear DS diary,
Today I had my initial appointment with the career center. I basically conceded that I had very little confidence, if any, in my resume. Fortunately for me, the counselor basically saw eye-to-eye with me on this. She said that it might still be workable, but it would be a better idea to try to create more of a functional resume that would emphasize my skills over my experience. Given that I have no real legal experience, the idea made sense to me. I have a safe number of notes to work with, and it definitely was worth my time, but...
...I'm still scared. None of this is going to come to much fruition until I'm able to sleep through the night with any consistency, and while it helps to have this job thing now broken down into manageable parts, it doesn't feel as though enough of my concerns have been dealt with. My anti-depression med is still in bad need of a change that won't happen until Thursday at the earliest, and I keep seeing monsters regarding my addiction issues that are making any kind of unwinding virtually unreachable.
I am on the verge of another breakdown even though today provided some help. My head is a mess from issues falling asleep, my heart is in a very bad place...only my courage to fight on is left, which I swear is only applauded because it flies in the face of anything intelligent.
(sigh)...
