The last couple of nights have been difficult with my fears running kinda...okay, not kinda, more like full, riot considering that yesterday was the last day for my colleague who is moving on to another job.
I wish her well, of course. It's "just" panic over pulling my own weight since we're still working with the psych ward that has had me a mess.
A student who interned for us came in for of all things a flu shot -- I guess she needed it to continue with her classes at a state college of pharmacy -- and one of my supervisors apparently asked if she wanted to come back to us and help out. She jumped at the chance -- she likes the place -- so while I don't know how much she'll be able to put in, at least that will help a little bit.
I'm afraid of two things right now. One is being effective enough at both ends between my job and my classes (because let's face it, I can't give them much more in the way of hours than I am able to right now, which is still 20-24 a week). The other is just dealing with people generally...the scars won't go away, but that means the fears attached to them won't go away easy, either. At the moment I can't imagine what a hunt for a paralegal job would be like right now, since with the scars it's really hard for me not to be biased against someone in a hurry.
