I could see my Saturday class going by the wayside when the snowstorm was at its worst. I couldn't see Tuesday's going as well. Later I found out that Boston had severe issues removing all the snow, which I understand was true for a lot of communities. There are still foot-high snowbanks on the curbs of my street.

So I had my first real exams of the semester on Thursday. My wills/estates/trusts professor had scheduled hers for yesterday initially, so that one came off as scheduled (she had done the review a week in advance). That one was okay.

What irked me and pleased me at the same time came with the quiz that followed two hours later.

I've complained to a couple of friends that my literature professor is "out there" in a bad way. Yesterday she took it to a new level I've never before seen. She actually lent her copy of the text to another student -- not me, I have mine -- but didn't get it back until the class session started.

There was just one problem with this: She didn't make the quiz up in advance -- which was supposed to be multi-choice -- and apparently without the book she's incapable of making a quiz or class material.

So she apparently had someone else in the class try to make a quiz instead...and what came out was probably the most ridiculously easy match-up I've ever seen. And then, of course, she had no formal discussion set up afterward because she got caught with her proverbial pants down.

The way the discussions have been going -- and with the way I'd rather be shot than work in groups -- I ended up with the guilty pleasure feeling of wrangling out of a group session without even having to try to dodge it this time. You know you have people issues when you want people to screw up so you don't have to face what you don't want to face.
