Random Thoughts
For this journal entry, I'm basically doing what it's called:
* GSN revived the Pyramid game show this past week. It's an excellent idea and needed, but I'm torn. It would fit better on CBS where it ran for quite a while in the '80s, and Mike Richards is no Dick Clark (or Bill Cullen for those familiar with the $25,000 nighttime version). First few episodes are already up on Youtube (!) for the curious.
* The NFL regular campaign gets into high gear this weekend, and that means the start of the C'Mon Man segment of ESPN's Monday Night Countdown show tomorrow. I can't say I care much for tackle football, but I still get a kick out of basically amounts to a worst-of-the-worst for the week that was.
* These people issues...yeah, I'm mentioning them again...I spent a good 90 minutes on Meebo with a friend last night and I'm starting to realize that maybe I have to work around underlying memories instead of through them? I mean, coming to terms with them doesn't feel close and after the other day there seems to be a need to make baby steps there now.
* I know this will sound cynical, and it's going to infuriate some of you, I'm sure, but I almost have to ask: Is there anyone else out there who thinks the US presidential election is going to come down to who can make people think their little white ones are actually believable?
