Today I'm getting my final exam paper assignment for my sociology class.  The nine-day window to clear sounds tight, but the professor said last session that if you've been keeping up with the text (I have), then all we need to do is put what we've learned up to now together and things should be okay.
I don't feel too bugged about taking time to work on this tomorrow (Independence Day); I'm going to need something to do and that should be just perfect.
But in a way, that's the rub.  In my heart I know I should be aiming for at least something fun to do during the holiday tomorrow.  That won't happen...I conceded it to an e-mail friend who lives in Australia last night, and I'll concede it to the rest of you now:
I don't have a clue in the world what having fun is like.  I can't even tell you guys and girls (well, okay...it's been mostly girls) what it is I'd like to do, outside of career goals.  Everything I've done outside of said career goals has had some kind of avoidance connotation for so long (much more than I want to admit publicly) that while I might say on occasion I'd love to be a casual (fill in the blank however you choose), that feels so far away that I'm starting to think I'll never get there and I might as well have this duelist mentality hanging over my head for the rest of my life.
This is all I have to say for now, I have a long day ahead of me...

Aw, my friend, this makes me sad for you :(. You need to find your fun! You know I\'ll always be willing to help on that one, just shoot me a message if you ever need. Sorry I\'ve been busy lately, but I always want the best for you.

Oh...okay, try this as a favor to me, okay? No pressure, just something to try. I don\'t know where you live, but if you can find a fireworks display, go watch it. Don\'t take anybody with you, just go. If you can find a secluded place to watch, even better. Just sit there, look and watch the sky explode. It\'s amazing. Well, for me at least. I love fireworks. But it might be a good way to get you out of your comfort zone and try something that might end up being fun, you know? And going alone means no pressure if you want to leave early or something. Just an idea, you know me lol...wishing you fun :)
