Perhaps we could call this the day after the big panic (double panic? I'm still a hair foggy...)
Today I tried to get back into a groove, with only minimal success. But let's be honest: After this kind of week, with those kinds of worries triggering sleep problems that I haven't had since my time as an accountant, I wasn't going to bounce back right away, even if I did spend most of yesterday sleeping. It does take time to normalize after that.
No option is off the table regarding what to do from here. Obviously the suggestions from comments and hugs yesterday stand up on their own merits. :) Also wondering about a couple of ideas that are popping up because I really do feel sound therapy is on the right track. I just found out that Amazon's Kindle can be downloaded as a free app on PCs, Macs, iPod Touches, etc., and that you can get some books for free (mostly older classics). It won't cost in my wallet to consider doing a little pleasure reading before I try to crash with some nature sounds in the background, so that option is there as well. Suggestions from previous conversations are in play too.
Granted, last week was a bad one to lose, but maybe now that the panics have passed things can get a little bit better? I certainly hope so...
