When I started charting a week of activities three days ago, I didn't think it would immediately call into question everything that I do in the way that it has.
To my chagrin, though, it has...and hard. The last 24 hours have been harrowing. I basically saw my motivation to do what I usually do fly away so fast I never had a chance to realize what hit me. I'd also been feeling the effects of losing faith in what I'd normally carry for "lunch" on my long days...some kind of trail mix or fruit and nut mix that we keep a supply of in the house. It isn't enough usually, leaving me wanting more, but obviously I don't want to go a junk route. So it's left me with paralysis by analysis and for three straight days I just went without lunch (you can imagine what that's done to my body).
Between this and general feelings of discouragement about my coursework, it was only a matter of time before I self-destructed. I was lucky to make classes yesterday, and I was really only there for attendance credit because my brain felt dead. Then last night, I tried going to bed after a second journaling session, but even my binaural beats couldn't knock me out...within two hours I was back awake, and not knowing what else to do I just laid there for the rest of the night with my eyes wide open.
Needless to say that turned this morning into a waste, and I basically had to sleep it away.
This isn't to say that charting a week so my friend can give me some help is a bad idea because it absolutely is a good idea. I'm just shocked at what doing it is doing to me as a person. I mean, I know how I go through typical weeks hadn't been working as it is, but this is turning into a nightmare that seems to be pointing out that everything is wrong...

... (sigh) which means that most likely this is exactly the case.

I think its time you make an appointment for a therapist my dear :( When something positive and healthy isnt a good thing and leaves you feeling worse than when you started it, changing your diet and nutrition intake, working on your how you feel and look at things isnt ever going to be enough :( I was spiraling out of control when i had no choice and nothing positive seemed to work and finally made the call. You cant work on being healthy and happy until you get the help you need. This is one of the times when i was so much more than what I am, holistic healing and wellness isnt a magic pill that can fix everything as sometimes i wish it was :( Your in my thoughts and prayers, I\'m sorry the journaling has made things worse it never had hat affect on anyone before :(
