So today I took my pharmacy tech certification exam. I'm still questioning the logic of having done so because frankly I was still in a mental fog after the events of the last two days. You could say I went against my better judgment in going with my parents' advice to take it anyway.
The result thereon WAS a struggle, as I got stuck on half the questions on the first lap (110 all told). Even after the second lap, there were still about 25 that I had no confidence on. But the format was multiple choice, so I did what you're supposed to do on exams like this if elimination tactics don't help enough: Fire away and hope for the best.
This being considered, I got enough right from those lucky guesses -- in addition to the ones I knew -- to pass. The target score is 390 points out of 500. I managed to get 427 (it works out to around 85.4 percent). That should be verified in a couple of days, and I don't have to worry about a retry.
I do, though, now have to worry about spring classes. I have what I need for them, but last semester afternoon classes weren't working out so hot from a stamina standpoint (okay, a lot of things didn't work out over the fall, but stamina was a part factor). Guess I haven't learned...it's stacked up the same way this time around, too.
