From the "okay, let's try that again" department:
So, my sister has been looking for opponents to play the popular game Words with Friends with. It's a program you can get for free if you can put up with ads (which I can). Today, I finally bit, but I let her know that games with me were probably not going to be very fast; she should expect at best a move a day.
I guess this an okay baby step, but it comes with a lot of fear as I say good riddance to what's been a disastrous 2011. Obviously I owe a couple of friends a lot for this (Summerwind81 and WallyBear, you got hearts from me today for a reason). I can't say I'm really all that sure how I'm going to hold myself accountable to what I just promised my sister. Over the next few weeks, I'm going to want to nail my certification exam, so that's going to help somewhat. But let's just say for a moment that I'm having "one of those days"...how am I going to handle those safely?
I'm not trying to imply that this doomed to crash out, I'm just saying...considering what's happened to me before, this is not going to be an easy trick. Something in my heart is saying that I can't expect to do this on my own, at least at first. I guess it's for a few reasons. One is that I don't really know what it will take because I'm not used to pulling things for relaxation purposes. Another is the balancing act thing...especially during this past year I couldn't do that for the life of me, and I paid a very heavy price for that.
