Just when I thought the situation couldn't get much worse...it has.
Today I was supposed to go to a workshop to learn how to effectively use the library resources on campus for a research paper I need to do. Of course the plan is to show up for it. But with my stress level where it is and help where I need it not available (no, not the DS kind of help), nothing is guaranteed now.
My anxiety is so bad today that en route, as I tried to work on something else on the bus ride towards the subway, I fell asleep. Out cold. By the time I came to, I had missed the subway stop I was supposed to get off at...and the next one is 20 minutes away, and I'm somewhere on the route where walking back isn't an option.
I still had a chance to salvage something because I knew where the workshop was taking place. But the library is pretty good sized, and the room where the workshop was taking place isn't well marked. I searched diligently...but never found it. The fact that shades block views into the library rooms made it impossible to figure out which door to open.
So now I have another disaster on my hands. I had a lot of questions about how to use the resources and how I could tell if my sources were good ones. Now those questions will never get answered, because I missed my one good chance and arranging a one-to-one with the library staff is not possible with the mess I'm currently in.
I'm starting to wish my work circumstances hadn't changed. It started a chain reaction that now has me hanging by a thread. And losing my math tutor only made matters worse for reasons that should be obvious (the fallout is still being felt, I had to take a zero on a take-home quiz because I don't understand an entire chapter, the professor doesn't understand what "I don't get this concept" means, and I still haven't found a replacement face-to-face tutor and probably won't now).
