(sigh)....where do I start, honestly, after cracking like an egg last week? I'm not really sure I know.
Obviously I'm pessimistic about my exam on Monday after I let myself get clouded by so many things. It's left me with many more questions than I have answers.
I can't help but wonder if the week gone by would have been different if I had something, anything, to give me something else to think about. But I'm having a lot of trouble getting over that emotional hump of not "abusing", for lack of better language, anything that could be used as a temporary escape. There's still that part of me that feels that when I go back to (insert stressor of your choice here), it's not going to feel any better because nothing has been done about it.
This is why having to reach outside of family for support purposes is a double-edged sword for my purposes...when it works out, it's terrific, when it doesn't -- or when I can't find an opening to do so -- it's a tragedy. But at the same time, I can't seem to be my own best friend even if my life depended on it.
