There is a part of me that is still feeling a little frustrated this morning.  The concerns about what would happen with losing the colleague my supervisor depended on a lot have been realized, and both him and I agree that I'm going to have to be on-call available for more than the 10 hours a week I work now as need be.  It's frustrating because the tutor I had been working with in my course (excepting last week when she wasn't there) was someone I was comfortable working with, and now my outlets for her are effectively gone.    It's just not in me to play hit-or-miss to find another face-to-face tutor.
The situation is not hopeless because last night I logged onto MathTV.com, hoping to get help on part of the systems of equations chapter that has been giving me trouble. Fortunately for me, some of the instructors there (who also are students) are really good at explaining the concepts, and I can freeze the videos at any time so I can work the example problems along with them.  They're different from the ones I have to do for homework, which helps because it would bug to have the feeling that someone (anyone) was doing my work for me.
After about 50 minutes of this, which is typical of me when I need help, I was finally comfortable enough with the general idea that I could knock off a section of homework problems AND know what I was doing.  So I'm comfortable saying that I have an out.
I just feel bad that it had to come to this...tutoring by videos, I guess we could call it.
