Today was one of those lucky-as-can-be days.  We didn't take a direct hit from what is now Tropical Storm Irene, but the wind is still blowing fairly strong and we got a great deal of rain.  I'm really hoping it dries out tonight so that I can clean up the driveway debris in the morning.
I'm counting my lucky stars because most who have had to deal with this storm weren't so lucky...there were 4 million customers with no power this morning, and who knows how long it's going to take to get them all back online.  My heart is with each and every one of them tonight; it's going to be a monster to clean up I fear.

So happy you\'re okay! 4 million...that\'s crazy...I hope it gets restored soon. Especially scary for those in hospitals...yikes. Showed them evacuating patients from NYC hospitals on the news the other day. Wow. Hope you\'re doing well otherwise, and very happy you\'re safe :)

And that isn\'t even the half of it Summer...I saw some images of the flooding in Vermont yesterday, where entire communities are cut off now because the roads basically washed away, and it just breaks my heart. I can\'t even wrap my mind around being isolated like that.
