Today my entry is just a case of "this is on my mind, so I'm going to place it here and leave it, anyone who wants to comment on it can do so":
It's just a dreadful day today where I am...rain, cloudy, humid, basically stuck indoors.  Good thing I mowed the lawn yesterday while I had the chance.
I'm thinking about the help I've gotten from Summerwind81 and sust69 in particular -- shout outs and many thanks to both of you -- and I'm starting to wonder if days like these wouldn't be easier to deal with if I had a hobby.
It's a hair complicated because in effect it's the same problem as I've had with coping mechanisms, only it goes a little farther.  I can't really put my finger on why, but with things like this...I don't know how to describe it; but something inside me isn't comfortable with being a hobbyist.  I have a kick on something, but then within a couple of months -- if lasts even that long -- it goes away.  And then I'm kinda back where I started.
At the same time I'm fairly busy right now with licensing/certification training (hopefully I can get back to that this week because I'm behind on it right now) and will continue to be with classes come the fall.  So my gut is telling me that getting coping mechanisms in place needs to come first.  But I wonder if a hobby could double as a coping mechanism?
I do wonder if I'm thinking too much at times...it feels like there are extensions to lots of thoughts at the moment.
