I swear I could write a book now: "How to Drive Yourself Crazy in Three Easy Steps".
I'm at a point where I now just have to start typing my research paper and do additional research if needed. My position on my course notes is fine. But on this long weekend, I still feel stressed out.
The problem is that even though I know what has priority -- the legal ethics course does -- I also know there are some projects around the yard, including a big cutback of a rhododendron, that are a full week behind schedule or more.
Chaos is ensuing, because while technically "get" that I can't be everywhere at once, the impulse thoughts are still too strong for me to hold back. They're eventually saying, "We need to get caught up this weekend or else."
The resulting strain is showing. Earlier today I was washing my mother's car when a neighbor from across the street who I am normally on good terms on gave me a quip about his car...maybe it was how it was dirty too.
I told him in no uncertain terms that I had enough to worry about. Translated, I was basically saying: Shut up.
Not a good sign...and I don't care what excuse I come up with later because that's irrelevant. What matters is that I feel frustrated from a persistent inability to trust that everything will be okay...which doesn't seem to be in a rush to go away.
