Update
I'm doing okay.. I have a busy week next week. I have to renew my license on Monday, pick up Geo's brother on Tuesday (my birthday), Thursday I have an appointment with my new doctor and Friday rest. I am supposed to go to the in laws tomorrow for the Super Bowl, but I don't know if I want to go. I don't want to be alone in the apartment... I've been too depressed and would just curl up in bed and cry. I need to be around people, anyway... supposed to be good for the depression. I'm getting better slowly, day by day... January is a hard month because I'm constantly reminded that my birthday is coming up and that I'm stuck on disability not able to do anything. I'm still young (going to be 32) but I feel like my life is going nowhere. Normally the depression lifts in mid- to late Feb and then I go back to normal.

You are in my pocket. You will get better, you are so strong.
It is good you know how to combat the depression...so go enjoy the Superbowl Sunday out among people...laugh and giggle! Enjoy!
good for you to know and do what helps you with the depression, not many people do what will help them. it is hard to go to things but once there I have found it is okay and I will be all right. I understand all to well about birthdays and questioning where I am in life. all we can do is keep telling ourselves we have done our best and who knows what the future will bring, you are still so young. many hugsss
Have fun at the Super Bowl Party. I hope this help lifts the depression. It\'s good that you are aware of things that set you off and help you recover.
An early Happy Happy Birthday.
I hope you can think of it as a new year to move forward with babysteps. Maybe, you are farther ahead than you think. Wishing you all the best.
I agree with Joyce and Ann that you\'re very insightful about why you\'re dealing with the depression. That\'s half the battle. : ) I hope that going to the Super Bowl party helps a bit. When thinking about what you can\'t do, also keep in mind the things that you can, and the times that you\'ve been successful. You still have the future ahead of you, and plenty of time to meet any goals that you set for yourself. Wishing you a Happy Birthday this week!
how about if you go to school for something like to sell car insurance, its a 3 month course and its automatic employment, as little or as much work as you want? what did you major in in college and do before you were diagnosed?
Happy Birthday and enjoy the superbowl. xxoo
I can barely volunteer two days a week for two hours and lately nothing at all. I had odd jobs after college and never used my degree. I\'m on disability so at least I have some money.
is that from the medication?
Seems you have seasonal depression as well..never even thought it was possible for Florida peeps:) Its more common out our way. The sun can do a lot of good..being active..being around people..and staying on meds.
38, It\'s part of the disorders. I have Bipolar 1 (the bad kind) and schizophrenia. It makes it hard to do anything.
