Depressed

I've been hit with a wave of depression lately. I had a bad run-in with a postal worker at the office and it just wrecked me. I went to the car and started bawling. People are telling me that I need to let it go, if not she wins. I don't know if I am strong enough for that right now. I've been gaining a ton of weight with eating whatever I want. That's not helping the depression either, right now.
Geo and I went to the movies today and saw Guardians of the Galaxy. It was good, I just had to fight the depression that wouldn't let me enjoy it. I was feeling better at the end.I also went for a walk with Lisa and that was nice.
I think I'm going to go volunteer tomorrow... I need to get out of the house as much as possible to help with the depression. I know what I need to do, so I just have to do it.

Sorry to hear you are depressed. I am too- I think my relationship is going down the drain, possibly in the direction of divorce. I have lost my best friend, he has lost respect for me, and that is one thing that one deal breaker I can\'t overlook. Granted I made a mistake, but if I do ANYTHING wrong, say anything wrong, it then means that we are not compatible and keeps asking me if I want to leave. I never told him I want to leave. I just couldn\'t take it anymore, the last arguments in the last several months he suggests that we do not get along, yet every day we eat together, watch tv together, and get along I\'d say most of the time. I don\'t know if he is bipolar, but it is like I am with 2 completely different people. I get so upset and worried that the next \"argument\" comes up and he walks out on me. I refuse to apologize first when he said \"fuck you\" to me and he promised me in the past he would never talk to me like that. I never saw my parents berate each other like that, and I do not want to have a relationship like that. I told him that he needs counseling and he said he doesn\'t. He said he was going to take a long drive and be glad to be out, and didn\'t even talk to me. He came back and completely ignored me while I cleaned the entire kitchen from top to bottom. I guess when I am angry, I clean really well! Then I had gone upstairs to fold a few towels, and when I came downstairs, he sneaked to the television to watch his shows by himself which we always do together. I walked right by him, and I said \' have fun watching tv\" in a sarcastic way. He stormed up the stairs and I am livid. I cannot have a relationship with someone who is just ready to throw the towel, ESPECIALLY when I am not a terror to live with, I do respect him and we get a long for the most part except for these seemingly \"ALL OR NOTHING\" type arguments. I don\'t know what to do. I believe in marriage, and I do not just give up like that but he has been pushing this thought in my head every time we have a fight, and it was honestly for the stupidest thing. I asked him to do something for me, and he was playing stupid like he had no idea how to do it, YET he is mr. fix it with everything in the house. Just because it is a favor he would do for my mom to fix a chair, he was giving me a hard time. I said to him, \" like if you can\'t fix that? how have you fixed everything else in this house\" All I had to say that and he just went off on me saying that I do not respect him, and that I\'m an angry frustrated person, and kept asking me if he should leave. I DIDNT ASK HIM TO LEAVE! I think he has possibly thought this out already, and then he wants to pin it on me that I left him. I\'m SOO angry I just don\'t know what to do right now.

I am so sorry you are feeling so depressed. it is very hard to let things go for me too, but I do find when I get past it I am so much better. people can be very cruel and mean, those are toxic people and we need t not have them in our lives. that is good to get out, very proud of you to fight the urge to isolate, it isn\'t easy. glad you liked te movie and time with lisa. many hugsss and support

You are so far ahead of the game by knowing what to do. Many people never figure that much out. Try making a plan (an achievable one so that you don\'t set yourself up for failure) for the next couple of days.

Even doing little errands will give you a sense of accomplishment and get you out of the house. Good luck this week.

Thanks everyone! I\'m feeling a bit better. I saw my psych today and he raised my Prozac so hopefully that helps.
