Hey Friends, I had an okay week. My Dad gave us a small scare. He went in as out patient, easy procedure, just having a simple polyp removed from his sinus cavity, WELL 6 hours later, the Doctor came out and told us he a malignant Cyst, not a polyp. So they had to keep going and scrape bone and tissue until he felt sure he got it all. PRAISE GOD (as I already had a call put into him!!) The Doctor doesn't think he needs to follow-up with any chemo or radiation at this time. He will watch it very close, a CT-scan every 3 months, and we will take it from there, one day at a time. My Dad is a good good man, but not spiritual....so I think God is moving in my family. I am the really only deeply Spiritual person, so guess who they call when something big comes up, but they have backed off since Brent was killed, I think they don't want to put too much on me.
Starting the SSI process is a big big ordeal isn't it. Boy Howdy.... Papers and papers and papers and then some papers!! Then "We will mail you some more PAPERS." And if any of you plan to file.... make sure you watch and check behind them (with a smile of course, don't piss them off or you will get throwed to the side) I have found so so many mistakes that probably would have blown my case had I not gone over those set of "papers", the medical part.
Anyway, I've decided to wean off the Seroquel, I can really feel a change in my appetite. My primary Doc said they would try to keep my in Ambien samples as much as they could. So that's a good thing.
Still can't bring myself to clean all the Christmas stuff off of Brent's grave yet. He's supposed to be here for Christmas not in a grave! not yet anyway maybe when he in his 70's or 80's with children of his own and a wife (or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5) these days!! And granchildren and all that stuff life brings...... But "Moma" will take care of it, maybe next week, it is starting to look bad.
I CAN say that I have taken up a new hobby. I have been doing Brent's flowers myself, so I've been playing around with floral design. I've done some pretty neat stuff. I've brought his passions into it, I used tiny skateboards on one and drumsticks and guitars on others.
His BEST friend Derrick was a great guitarist, I plan to make him one on their 3rd anniversary. I was too weak the first two to even begin to try it.
Well I'm doing as good as I can, Hope all my friends here at DS, Have had an unusually Blessed week since we have all found each other.... and If you didn't have a good week.... then the next one will be, so you have that to look forward to. LOVE TO ALL..... And remember (I use this phrase often it comforts me) I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS. JESUS. By this of course he is speaking of the Holy Spirit. He told the 12 Apostales as he was descending to the Heavens, I leave with you my Spirit, so I will be with you always.

Thank God they were able to catch the malignant cyst now. Your dad will be added to my ever growing prayer list.
I am dealing with SSI too. It sure is a pain. I got a letter this week to remind me that the check my son receives since Steve\'s death will stop when he is 18, but the one I get since Steve\'s death will stop when my son turns 16. (this May) What are they thinking? He doesn\'t need as much care after age 16? The letter asked if he had a disability. Then they would continue sending me checks.
Well....I think Jesus will be comming soon. I\'m ready!

I am glad you are having a better week.
the floral design can be so much fun. Do you have a Hobby Lobby where you live. Ours has flowers on sale almost every other week. I think the skate board idea was a great, creative idea. I am so sorry about Brent It upsets me so much I can hardly think about it it is so painful. I know you have been through hell. I really really am more sorry than words can express.
