I took the day off.  It's been a good day.  I haven't done much.  Spinning  class this morning.  90 minutes.  The instructor gave everyone candy canes.  Then I went to the river and parked on the overlook.  The wind was howling across the river. I go there a lot when I want peace.  I found it.  The place was nearly empty.  I read.  Then got out and walked along the river.  It was very cold and windy.  The whitecaps were breaking on the beach and  leaving icicles on the debris blown up on the beach.
If I were drinking, I'd be in the bar next to the creek nearby.  It's a dark place inside, and smelly.  You probably know a place just like it.  But they have a deck that overlooks the creek and  a meadow.  Great sunsets from there.  I'd like to go in.  Can  I do that and not drink?  
This time, it's been since 12/12.  11 days so far.
