stuff.

Hi,
My computer is having problems, hard to explain, but it seems to be locking up every few seconds......I had 8 e-mails and then all of a sudden the e-mail heavens opened up and a boatload of messages came tumbling down.  i open daily strength and the center of the page is blank.  that can't be good.  not sure that this will even post.  I don't know what happened, it took me fifteen minutes to get the computer to actually close down and then another fifteen to open it back up.  I need a computer superhero........or maybe it will feel better and I'll be lucky girl # 118 and things will be alright???
called Target to talk about the carts and about the lack of replacement parts for the toilet bowl brush container they sell.  to make a long story short, the brush container has a screw in brush, but they do not offer the replacement brush.  Much to this customer's dismay, you have to buy a whole new unit......on the other hand they sell things like plastic toilet paper rollers to hold good ol toilet paper.  the customer service lady told me that they could only get what vendors offer.  i said as Target is the second largest retailer in the United States it seems to me that if your buyers say we need replacement brushes for a stocked product than the vendor would be happy to comply.  If that had been available I would have bought a half dozen brushes......instead I resentfully bought a whole new unit which meant the other unit hit the trash.......and that makes me plain ol mad.  She is sending me a $15 gift card and promised to go forward with the complaint about the broken and barely usable carts at their stores, we''l see.  I also ask her when they planned to initiate a discount program for senior/disabled citizens.  ......
moving on....everybody may know this, but i didn't......if you indent the center of a burger patty with your finger or thumb before cooking it, the patty will not shrink.  one of those cool little tips........

my recent gross out was learning that red berry flavored products like strawberry yogurt for example have Carmine in them.  Everybody may know this but I did not know that Carmine is crushed Cochineal Beetle powder.  I told my son about this and he didn't think it that big a deal, but it gave me the hoo doo voo doo jitters...........I just paid an exterminator good money to remove bugs from my abode and I did not know that bugs masquerading as CARMINE was in my red food colored items...........did  ya'll know this????  why don't they use beets for example?
maybe i am the only one that thinks this is freaky.............ok well that's all.  i wish i knew what is wrong with my computer.  it's messed up. pray this posts, and know that i am praying and thinking of you.  hugs, sparrow

My computer does that in humid weather sometimes, too.... glitch glitch glitch... As for Carmine---I did know that. Beets, btw, are too purply-fuschia and it takes more to get the same intensity of color. Ditto pomegranates. I read up on this when I wnated to home-dye fabrics. Forget *that*!

Blessings on you, and know you\'re in my thoughts and purrs!

Did you know that insects are mostly protein? I\'m sure they wash them before squishing them into your strawberry yogurt ;)

EWE! Sorry, that just kinda spilled outta my typewriter.

I\'m having trouble with my computer as well. Mostly with DS! I wrote a journal today and DS ate it up. I was ticked! I had gone into some detail about a doctor\'s visit and after using all my brain power, to see the whole journal just vanish made me wanna spit. O still wanna spit!

I didn\'t get to read a few previous journals, Ruthie, but I would guess that you are talking about the riding carts at Tarjet for the disabled?? If so, that\'s one of my biggest grips about Target, and many other stores as well. The biggest irritant is when you see them all lined up for use, but not plugged in, and all blinking red! Why can\'t people return the cart to the place they got it from and plug it back in out of courtesy for the next customer who needs it? And why isn\'t it anybody\'s job to be sure that these carts ARE plugged in all the time? They have security guards all over the place. UGH....sorry, got off on a tangent!

Glad you got a fifteen dollar card from those people! Some days customer service simply does not exist out in the big wide world. I\'ll stay home, thanks!! MWAHHHHHHHHH! xoxol

Sparrow, my computer was doing a lot of what you say yours is doing for about two months so about a month ago I kicked it to the curb & invested in a new one. It was 4 years old so obsolete by technical standards. Got a good deal on one at Best Buy. An All-in-One computer -the tower is inside the monitor & I dearly love it. When you are as homebound as so many of us are, our computer becomes our buddy & I mean in a big way.

Hope you get yours to do what it should be doing.

My \'puter goes goofy every time the weather changes --- satellite on the roof is my connection. My son-in-law is a computer tech. He fixes all problems except the weather related ones. I\'m really blessed there!

I didn\'t know they made toilet bowl bushes with replacement parts!

Beetle powder, Hmmmmmmmm. Does that mean we get more protein if we eat more strawberry, cherry, and raspberry flavored yogurt? Yeah, okay. I\'m desperate, and protein is a good thing for us.
