hi.
greetings fellow earthlings,
locked my brain up in a cooler in the garage and stuck a soccer ball w/a hat on top of my scrawny shoulders......then set the dial for occupational therapy.
OT is the quickest way i know to silence the jabberwocky. i am washing things clean in the noisy ol' washer. this machine gives so much bang for the buck, when it agitates the cotton it really mooooooooves.
yesterday was a queasy day, so i nibbled some crackers & sipped some chicken soup. all of a sudden i got that old hungry feeling.
i got the kitties all excited cause i was moving from side a. of the kitchen to side b. with increasing determination. i chopped up vidalia onion from south Georgia and idaho potatoes thanks to the lovely potato growers in Idaho......readied the chicken in egg wash and pepper flour. wahoo.......old fashioned winner winner chicken dinner day. couldn't decide between green baby peas and bright yellow corn so i made both. they are sitting in a light butter sauce with pepper.
i whipped the taters til they turned light and fluffy........yup, skins and all. gimme those vitamins, bring 'em on. the chicken is finishing up in the oven along with the onions. it smells better than Aunt Bea's kitchen on Sunday......small regret that i have no biscuits, nary a one. not handsquoze or frigidated biskits in a stick........but i have more than enough for me and anybody else who cares to drop down the chimney.
i put a new swiffer thingy on the swiffer stick, but so far i have completely resisted the urge to move the dust around. it's getting hard though, i have some deeply ingrained nesting instincts. deep. i resist a lot of foolishness i promise, that CLEAN ME note is still stuck on the glass windows of the french doors.....i did remember to start a grocery list. good good good.
please hold......one moment please......had to pour some sweet smelling softy soft in the washer.......radio dude is talking.........ok, he is squawking. he talks like a blue streak, rarely takes a breath. i admire his breath control, not so much what he is saying or the way he trounces on any/every/and even invisible things people say/think. he is a stalker talker. the off button is close by, i just like to turn on talk radio sometimes for ten or fifteen minutes just so i can savor the wonderful calm beautiful silence when i press the off button.
i know that is super silly, but the talking helps me move better in the kitchen. usually i go for music, but i forgot to change the channels. i have a lot in common with the character type known as the absent minded professor. all i need are suede patches on the sleeves of all my pj tops and i'll probably be granted tenure somewhere.
i have started and stopped reading 4 books this week. i am in a moooooood. restless, feel adhd ish.....
i did watch several inspirational movies and that helped........got me settled down some. the sleep has been good, the weather is chilly and the wind is fierce. going to go dine southern style ........if only i had a diet tab and a slice of pecan pie. the ultimate steel magnolia's perfect dessert from the 60's/70's or so I've been told...........later sweet peeps........be safe, keep warm and feel the love..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, your home cooking sounds wonderful! I\'m glad you felt up to preparing a southern feast(minus biscuits) and had a tummy in the mood to eat it. Glad you saw some good, comforting movies too.
Yummy meal. You were like a hurricane getting things done. Well done. I like to listen to Talk Radio for company. Some times listen to Georgia Talk Radio.
