"tut tut looks like rain"
"oh Christopher Robin, really?"
"yup. today, tomorrow and the day after that.  lie down outside and you will grow."
"thank you but no. i have vegetables and bear brought me some lovely honey"
To quote me Mum, I'm talking out of my hat........talking to myself, imagining and being silly putty.
It is overcast.  The grass is a deep rich green, save the sweeter light mossy green around the biggest tree in the back yard.  The dandelions grow taller.  It is quiet.  I can't hear the birds, I can't see any signs of squirrels or lizards, stray pets or rabbits.  Where are all my woodland friends today?  Is there a summit elsewhere?  A sale on fruit and nuts at the corner store?  Hard to say, hard to tell.
I am dizzy, barometric pressure is tightening the screws on something of mine, not sure what.......kind of sick to my stomach, trying to ignore it.  Don't have any sprite.  Say what you will but sprite is what Mom gave me to sip on for tummy upset, so that is what I like and what I want.  When yer tummy is upside down, kids, even grown up kids want the same things, a soft talking loving parent and their favorites, like sprite.  Lots of ice, tall glass, sparkly little bubbles, a lovely bendy straw........plumped up pillows, blankies tucked around the legs just so.................................read me a story.
Make the world right..........
I finally got a rug for the living room that's a keeper.  The cats love it, I love it......! Feels so luxurious to my achy sore feet.  It is a modern take on the shag rug, which is so not what I was looking for, but I reeeeeeeeeeeally love it.
The kitties play in it, jump and crawl across it during a cat mission.........they are hilarious.  So it's not just a rug, it's a toy and it's a reconnaissance tool for their training.  Nice.  Super thick and soft under my toes and it does not slip or slide one bit.  This is the happiest part of all.  Other rugs I've had did the slip and slide, even with the doolie jig beneath to keep them in place.  It's a light cream color.
The instructions tell me to raise my vacuum super high and get to vacuuming, but I'm not so sure.  EEEK.  Think Google is needed for a consult. Life is an adventure.  Yes there is some lite sarcasm in my voice.  And some happy too............
I wish the door bell would ring right now and there would be a delivery guy with a box of thin crust super light sauce double cheese pizza being gifted to me free just because and in his other hand a liter of Sprite........................................I wish, I wish, I wish. Yes, I'll share................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nope, nothing is happening.  So I think peanut butter on whole wheat or maybe a bowl of soup or scrambled eggs will be coming to a plate or bowl near me soon.  Trying to remember the last time I had pizza.......................spring maybe?  Yes of this year, but it was months ago.
Us home eaters like to eat out sometimes, it seems so exciting..........cause it is OUT.  THERE. and it is EATING.  and it is soooooo not here.  My head hurts, I have to take a nap, I can eat when I get up. But ding dong delivery food would totally work so I'm still wishing, got my fingers crossed.  Do I really think I can win some random universe made to order pizza lottery?  Yes, yes I do.  chuckling and hoping........................
P.S.  Because you remember, because you do.......all the little things that need doing for yourself and/or others to take care of life...........good on you.  Feel proud, take a moment to acknowledge your hard work and efforts.  It's good to be self motivated and strive every day to try for simple goals and to do it whether anybody notices or not, pats you on the back or not.........get it or not..........but I wanna tell you this..............YOU ARE WONDERFUL, giving yourself CARE, taking the time and putting in the effort to look after yourself, the people you care about..........whatever is a part of your day is important and wondrous..........don't fall into a funk or think that it is not appreciated............begin by knowing that I know how much you do, how hard it is, all the time and effort to cover all the details, it is a lot and it takes a keen eye, a lot of care and it is amazing..............and then pat yourself on the back, gold star your sweet self,.........high five yourself........right hand to left hand.............give yourself KUDOS and laugh outloud..........be proud that you take such good care of YOU, of your self/home and do not despair about NONSENSE.  don't beat yourself up when illness says you can't right now.  set small goals, try to do one thing, if not today, tomorrow. if not tomorrow........the day after.  if you have life challenges/illness, set real limits and provide yourself with simple and loving rewards for great self-care.
i probably talked in a circle and got a little corny, but we all need ENCOURAGMENT>>>>>>>>need help to keep the seeds of hope watered in our little gardens............so that's my big paragraph of WATER for the day.  now pour it on your hope seeds.........hugs, your dorky winged blue eyed birdbrainy pal
did i mention that u rock !?!?

I love that last paragraph, about not giving up, about keep on trying, trying to improve things, whatever circumstances we may be dealing with.
I\'m glad you and the cats love your new rug. A lovely rug can make a house feel homely. I remember getting our new rug for the living room. It has lovely warm colours, is soft and warm to walk on with our bare feet.
I also love pizza, but right now I wish I had some chocolate, and there\'s none in the house! It never lasts long here!
I also love the brilliant green of the grass when it is well watered. I often think how fortunate I am to live somewhere temperate and beautiful. It is all the rain we have that makes it so.

Love your journal. It\'s what I needed today. So weak...voice weak. Slept 4 1/2 hrs last night. Feeling achy. My arms hurt. My hair hasn\'t been washed in 2 wks. Called my hair stylist to see if she had time to wash & blow dry my hair. Yup!!! Got it done within an hr. she asked if I was OK? She could tell I was weak. I walked for 30 mins in Target...cuz yesterday I was in bed most of the day. Just found out I\'m lactose intolerant. No more Mocha Frappes\' :(. Gonna go rest now. Just had my tea, banana & breakfast bar. Yummy :)
Sparrow enjoy your rest. Hope you get that delivery. Ding dong...I like Sprite too. Glad you found a nice rug that everyone loves. Gentle angel hugs

Wish I knew where ya lived.. I\'d send a pizza over...WITH SOME SPRITE! My mom always gave us gingel ale when our tummys were upset. Made ya burp! Then mom would say, \"see! Don\'t ya feel better now?\" You always said \"yes mom\", cuz otherwise you\'d be drinking Pepto Bimbo and that\'s no treat!

Happy about your new rug and how the pets in the house have received it as their own!! LOL..... We have wall to wall on our first floor. Have to. The osteroporsis \"people\" made it real clear that carpet should be on the floor and up the staircase! Don\'t wanna break my head. Don\'t wanna fall. At least this gives me a better chance of not breaking a bone if I do take a spill!

Maybe you don\'t hear your critters outside, because of the hurricane!! They prolly know, suspect, \"feel\" something has run amok with nature and are taking shelter.....could be, right??

I thank you for the pep talk on giving ourselves a pat on the back! Jeepers, I need to learn to do that. I always feel that I\'m not doing enough, or that hubby has to do too much!! I want things to be fair and equal....and they just aren\'t. So I suppose, as you said, that I underplay the important things that I DO get done around here. I hereby pat myself on the back, and thank you for the reminder that my little efforts...well, they count!!

Rest well, Sparrow!

I\'m thinking what DarlaC say\'s. The animals can sense bad weather. I have to say I am jealous that you are getting rain. We are turning yellow and drying up. I have to water my gardens everyday. There were some critters getting in my garden and eating all my tomatoes so I had to set a trap and I caught 2 raccoons, a woodchuck and an apposum. Relocating was in order. I now have a small electric wire running about 6 inches up from the ground around the garden. Not an electrocuting one but enough shock to not try to climb the 5 foot fence. They are ruthless.

My kitty\'s love to play with the throw rug in the living room. It is on carpet but that does not stop them from getting underneath it. They are a hoot to watch.

We had Subway tonight but it wasn\'t delivered to our door. We had to go get it. Did your imaginary pizza guy come. You forgot to a cute one.

Your last paragraph was good for me since I just wrote a whining journal. I forget to give my self some TLC and not feel guilty about it.

Speaking of water could you sent some my way. AND YOU ROCK TOO!!! :)

Hugs Naomi xo
