thank you!
Thank you so much! I am so grateful for your hugs and words of kindness.
I was running on E...still don't have much in my tank, but I am here in spirit and support of all of you! You are all in my prayers nightly...and yes during the day too!
I've been so off balance, off kilter as my Mom used to say. I haven't had the energy, motivation, strength...to take care of business lately. I spent a week or more in bed, tired, whipped by all the migraines --- finally got up and did some house chores, went to the store. Never underestimate a flare...it knocked me right back down in the dirt.
I had pain racing to attack--- spasms in my legs, arms...neck, shoulders, head, could barely walk. Pain in the bottom on my feet, especially in my heels...so hard to get up and down, walk...do anything, process daily activity at all...managed to care for kitty and feed myself here and there.....
I have gotten run down, just going to the store, sent me into such a tailspin. I needed to go, but man. Grateful to be able to use the handicapped parking spaces now, but I moved so slowly...it took me almost two hours to shop...what a determined tired little tortoise I am sometimes. I don't think it has ever taken me that long...a new land record even for me!
I have much to do...things that I have put off and can not continue to back burner...I pray for your understanding right now. I feel lousy...tired, not sad, not depressed, just weary, feel the limited strength of the shell of this body...I have to place my hand on my other wrist and really struggle to turn in bed or get up and get about the room. This is a part of the illnesses when they rear up, I know that. I have come to terms with having these illnesses, but no matter how strong we are, no matter how much we press on to stay in a place of acceptance, when the flares hit, we need to be wise enough to rest, lay down, pray, nurture our spirit when it is that exhausted.
I have a long list of things I must find the strength to handle...God has always given me that strength every time I have asked. He will give me what I need to heal and restore......still trying to roll into the pain and get through this. I forget sometimes to take care of myself as well as I must...I got too rundown, so when the flare hit I didn't have the strength to batten down the hatches and prepare properly for the hurricane.
It is the wee hours of the morning...I need to thaw so I can stand now...I haven't been able to tolerate the chair for awhile and tonight I know I have overdone it...stay strong, stay courageous, stay in touch and know that I am gonna find my way back...flares are tough nuts to crack sometimes...I'm so grateful that my head is quiet and the migraines have lifted, that is a huge blessing....................HUGE!
Pray for me and know that I remain in prayer for all of you!

You are so right about the flares. We all just seem to go through these things, by literally toughing it out!! I said to another DS friend the other day, that CFS/Fibro.....are not for the faint of heart. Really! We just barely get by....like you said. Feed yourself and your kitty, then go to bed. We ALL push too hard on good days, then flare up!
I don\'t think that we overdo because we are idiots! I think we overdo because on a day when we CAN function, we WANT to function. It\'s so hard to be bedridden and in pain all the time.
I\'m so thankful your migraines have subsided. I can\'t imagine a non-stop blinding headache on top of everything else.
Let the Lord continue to be your guide and your strength Ruth. Your attitude is so wonderful, despite your suffering.
Have a blessed Sunday, I am praying for you. Rest now.
I am sorry you feel so bad. Does the weather make it worse or better. I saw on the Dr. channel that they had a new drug on the horizon for CFS/Fibro. That would be so wonderful for so many people. I have to frineds that suffer from it and one of them can not even get out of bed. I suffer from migraines but that is a far cry from what you are going through. I take Midrin for them, it is an old drug bur works for me so I never tried any of the new ones. I will say a prayer for you. Naomi xo
