Monday

I have a pdoc appt on monday and this time I'm going to have to tell them I'm suicidal, I'm going to have to go into the hospital and I'm really nervous to go. I don't know how I will be treated there but I'm going to have to go through it, at least I will know I tried every option before I end things. I don't know if the hospital will help me find a place to live - I doubt it but I have to try, it's going to be really scary, I have no one to help me go through it. I sure hate life

The hospital might help you. I don\'t know if its a good idea, but I would go. If you tell them you are suicidal they are gonna want to keep you. I\'ve been in a psychiatric ward once, but I was 9. I met many freidns there with similar issues, the nurses were all very pretty and nice, except for this doctor called Carl, he was more like a drill sergeant.

In 2008 I went to my nearest hospital and ask for help, I was terribly depressed & I was considering suicide, although I confessed that I had no \"plan\", just a thought...they wanted to put me in a white suite, & asked me if I had any\"firelighters\" or anything \"sharp\"...I said no, & I said I am NOT staying as \"in patient\"...I am not going to kill myself I just want to see a doctor and maybe some medication...so they helped me.

If you go you might meet people there who can relate to your situation. It beats living out in the street. I\'ve never been in jail, but most of my friends have & they say its better to be in jail, with a roof over your head, food & shower, than to be out in the street.

Some people hated the psychiatric ward, I loved it. I met great people there...Nigi, Big Tommy, Little Tommy, Jennifer, some other boy who saw Satan whos name I can\'t remember, & our resident nymphomaniac whos name I\'ve also forgotten. The hospital was great, medication in the morning with cool-aid, TV time around the afternoon, shower around night I think, they had ping-pong, checkers...the nurses were real nice, oh yeah, aside from Carl, there was a nurse named Linda who hated me, she hated my monster toys & ask me if I believed in God, lmao.

Of course, this was just MY experience and I was a little kid...I don\'t know what its like for adults & how things would go with you, but I can\'t imagine them treating a depressed person at the end of their rope badly...these people are usually trained to be helpful & kind.

Congratulations on deciding to go in and tell them how you\'re feeling. That takes a lot of courage and strength. And it is good that you\'re trying every option before making a decision that you can\'t take back. It sucks that you have to do it alone and I wish I could help in some way. I hope they can help you find a place to live. ((((hugs))))
