THIS IS THE LITTLE BIRDCAGE THAT I HAVE HANGING IN THE MAPLE TREE WITH THE HOSTAS AROUND IT. I BOUGHT IT AT HOMESENSE. IT WAS $30 SOMETHING AND I GOT IT FOR $13. A REAL BARGAIN!!
I DECIDED TO ENLARGE THE ROCK GARDEN AND FILL IT IN TO THE GARAGE. WELL, THE ADD ON IS GOING TO BE BIGGER THAN THE ORIGINAL GARDEN. I ALWAYS SEEM TO BITE OF MORE THAN I CAN CHEW!! OH, WELL, I HAVE 6 CUBIC YARDS OF SOIL SITTING THERE AND THE AREA HAS ALL THE LANDSCAPE FABRIC ON IT. I ALSO NEEDED TO MOVE A BUNCH OF PLANTS FROM THE ORIGINAL GARDEN AND MOVE THEM TO THE BACK AS THAY ARE VERY TALL. I HAD AN OLD LILY THAT DID NOT DO WELL THIS SUMMER OR LAST SUMMER AND I DECIDED THAT ITS DAYS WERE NUMBERED. IT TOOK ME 2 AND A 1/2 HOURS TO DIG THE FREAKING THING OUT!!! ANYWAY. I AM NOT GOING TO WEAR MYSELF OUT, I WILL DO A FEW HOURS EVERY DAY. IT WILL GET DONE, NAOMI, BEFORE THE SNOW FLIES..LOL!!
THINGS WITH MY DAUGHTER HAVE SETTLED DOWN AT LEAST FOR NOW. HOPE IT CONTINUES AS IT JUST SENDS ME INTO AN INSTANT DOWNWARD SPIRAL. BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO...THEY ARE OUR BABIES.
WELL, I AM GOING TO DO A LITTLE HOUSEWORK THIS MORNING. THEN I HAVE A DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT. AFTER THAT IT WILL BE ABOUT 2 ISH AND I WILL HIT THE GARDEN FOR A FEW HOURS.
THE WEATHER HERE HAS BEEN MARVELOUS. BEST YEAR WEATHERWISE FOR THREE YEARS. OF COURSE THE NICE WEATHER MEANS THAT HUBBY IS GONE FROM 5 A.M.M TIL AFTER 9 P.M.. I OFTEN DON'T EVEN SEE HIM AS I AM ASLEEP. OH, WELL, IT IS ONLY FOR A FEW MORE WEEKS.

I like that birdcage hanging in the tree. I have one that I put my catnip in and set out for the fur kids to play with most years. Did that they year and they shredded the poor catnip so I had to rescue it but it came back nicely.
We\'ve gotten a couple more days of sunshine but you can sure tell the difference.
Last week when it was sunny it was summer, you could feel the summer heat in it. Yesterday when it was sunny and the same basic temperature it was fall and you could just feel that and even smell it in the air.
I think we are supposed to get two or three more days of sun before the rain comes back so once morning dishes (and computer time) are done I\'ll be out to pull weeds or do something in the yard. Our days are getting shorter so very quickly now, The sun has just now managed to peek over the hills, it\'s nearly 7 a.m. my time and the full moon has just set in the west. The sky is still a kind of lavender morning turning to rose. Great time to be up when it\'s so beautiful
debbie that bird gage is adorable i love it. it looks great.. everything you do looks great what an imagination you have.. you are reaLLY working hard one it. gardening is alot of work .,i wish i was up to the task.i would love to do stuff like that around here.. i certainaly need it. enjoy ..hugs .love m,arie i am glad things are going better with your daughter..
You have such a good sense of design with your gardens. Why did it take so long to get the lilies out? Did the roots go all the way to China?
Glad Danielle\'s situation is somewhat better. As mother\'s we never stop worrying. I know dad\'s care too but they just don\'t seem to fret like we do. Much easier to sleep with the cooler night air. take care xo
Ok thanks I just happen to have a bird cage to work with, actually I should say damn you anyway. Of course you had to do something with the dirt. Soon you will be like me and have so many flower gardens you will not be able to keep them up. Yes you will wear yourself out, who are you kidding, not me. You are planting and I am cutting back dead perinials getting ready for fall. It makes me sick. And you said the four letter word s---.
My daughter is doing better too. Funny how it changes your whole outlook when they are doing better.
I am ahead of you, 10 flower gardens weeded, house and garage clean, laundry done, just a little mania, paid for that dearly. Now I worked for 4 days, YUCK. Money to buy more flowers that are on sale. LOL Naomi xo
