this and that

This is Michael and I at the base of Isabella de Torres. This is where we took the gondola cable car to the top of the mountain. It was awesome. The scenery and the view were spectacular. And it was not scary but then again I ski, sometimes, and I do the chair lift.

On Monday I went to see my pdoc at 5:30 and the place was locked up solid. I couldn’t figure out why. I called the office the next morning and the secretary told me that my appointment was for Tuesday at 5:30. “duh”. My appointments are always Tuesdays so I have no idea where my head was.

Anyway, when I saw him I complained that I have been rapid cycling “way too much” given all the meds I am on to prevent this. I am basically 3 good/fair weeks and 2 or more down weeks. The downs are not always down and out but bad enough!! So I requested that since we have been giving the current med regiment a long trial period and still haven’t got it right that a change was due. I suggested that I try lithium again. I was on it years ago when I was first diagnosised and it along with my epival worked great. So .....we are going to give it a shot. Of course, it will have to be slowly introduced and I will have to be weaned off the other meds. In my opinion, and I told him this, that if this does not work that I am no further behind and we just try something else. Makes sense to me..that’s not saying much. Lol!!

We have been having mild weather here, only hovering around the freezing point. Today we are supposed to get a snowstorm with about 10 plus inches. But the way it looks right now the flakes are big and wet, the kind that really does not accumulate. It melts almost as fast as it lands. Of course, that can change in a blink of an eye here in the Maritimes.

I just got off the phone with my travel agent, no I am not going anywhere right now. I am planning for next January. Hubby and I are taking back to back cruises on the same ship. The ship will do 7 different ports of call, three on the first trip and four on the second trip. We are getting a great deal on a balcony, a normal balcony is 35 square feet, and the one we are getting is 70 square feet. So I have put down my deposit and I have my booking numbers. Now I am leaving the rest up to her. I did the last three trips on my own and the hell with that. It costs no more to have her do it so I am just going to relax.

I have no great plans for today. I feel like I need a jammy day with a good book. I think that is exactly what I will do!!

Everyone have a great day. Debbie
