Picked this saying because it really describes me lately. I’ve been such an airhead. Examples: 1. Usually I am so.... organized and careful with my financial matters, my cheque book ran out and I replaced it with a new one ( I use the ones that make a duplicate copy). I kept checking on my on line account to see if the cheques I wrote had come out of my account. Weeks later they had still not come out. I was a little concerned. Then my mastercard bill comes in, we seldom use the card so it usually only has a little bit on it. There were quite a few charges and I was shocked but when I looked at them they seemed familiar. I grabbed my cheque book and compared the duplicates to the statement. They were the same. Dumb me!! I had accidentally, replaced my regular cheques with the ones that come with the mastercard. 2. We have 2 mastercards from different companies, we do not even use one, we keep the cards in the file. However, when the bill arrives each month for the unused one, I always check it because they include cheques and I destroy these. I happen to glance at the statement this time and noticed a $1000.00 credit. Oh, no!! I pay all my bills at the same time, on line, I paid a bill I did not even owe!!!! I did get the problems ironed out but this is so... unlike me. Guess maybe too much on my plate right now with the house on the market. Better get my act together. I bet if you guys send me your bills I’ll pay them too and not even notice LOL.We had an unsuccessful open house this weekend, only 2 couples. I’m getting discouraged, we want a quick sale, not a long lingering affair, and I am not the most patient person in the world. Today I dropped the selling price by $6000. We’ll see if this will generate some interest. We will negotiate but we do have a bottom line. I’ve been reading or I should say slogging my way through a book by Eckhart Tolle, " New Earth ... Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose ". Tough going but I have had several lightbulb moments. Giving me a lot to think about, some new insights into what makes me tic.
