I love pansies, they remind me of my grandmother. She was such a gardener, a real green thumb. I plant them every year in memory of her. Anyway, not much new except my internet connection is acting up. If I write a long journal response or my journal chances are it will get lost in cyberspace. It is so... frustrating.I don’t need frustrating right now. As I’ve written in my journal, we are in the process of doing a major reno on the kitchen. It is a huge undertaking. I have been working for days on the sanding and painting of the cupboard frames, a beautiful, bright white. It’s so fresh and clean !!! Anyway, I’ve been putting in some long hours and lots of work with sand and paint fumes. Today it has really started to catch up with me, actually I could feel it coming last night. My hubby and I worked on getting in the new counter top today and of course because it is an older home, 60 plus, everything is a little/lot out of plumb. To top it of any past renos were not well done, just slapped together. We are fussy!!! As usual, a 2 hour job takes a entire day with lots of cursing. We finally got it in and it looks great. However, as the process went on my hubby was getting a little ticed off and when this happens my stress level starts to rise rapidly. Then we had to install the new sink, it is a much larger sink than is normal, of course, it had to be the one I liked the best. If I had of foreseen the trouble it would cause I would have opted for a regular one !!! Oh, and in between time we discovered the plumbing pipes were in bad shape so we decided it was better to address the problem while it was so accessible. There goes more money !! Finally, the sink went in, we though that was it we were in the clear, almost done. WRONG!!!! This sink unlike others that get screwed down was held down by a thin strip of caulking around the inside edge. Well, guess what happened when it was set in place. Yeah, you got it, half of the stuff oozed out on to the new counter top. The harder we tried to take it off the worse it was. My lovely new counter top looked horrible. We are really hoping that when the stuff dries we will be able to get it off. I sure do hope so. I know it’s trivial but please but in a good word with the guy upstairs. By this time, my honey was getting really annoyed and it takes him along time to get that way. So right now I’m so.... stressed I need to be by myself, I’m exhausted and on the verge of tears. One little thing will set me off and Lord knows I don’t want to go there. Thanks guys for listening to me rant but I really needed to let this out.Be well, Debbie
