BCtreasure0904.gifNot much new today. It's wet and snow/sleet and the roads are really slippery. I had to go out earlier to have blood work done. I have to have my valproic acid done every 3 months to see if it is damaging my kidneys and liver. however, the doc wanted all the possible blood work done... 5 big viles. I'm a big boo when it comes to needles.  I can't look!!! The lab tech was not very good and it hurt. Then I had to do the pee in the bottle, love that part. Men have it so much easier in this department.

Yesterday I said that I had to go to work to get some papers signed and I was all panicy. As it turned out, school was cancelled. now I have to do it again on another day. Yipee!!!

I'm still on my diet and I do my treadmill faithfully every day. I'm up to 4o minutes and I burn about 200 calories. I'm pleased. In the smoking area I've gone from 20 a day to 13 a day without any aids. I'm sure once I get down a little more I'll need something to take the edge off.

Well, it's time for lunch so I'll close for now. Be well, my friends, Debbie

I stopped smoking in my apartment last January and I went from a 2 pack or more a day down to between 15 & 20. I still want one once and awhile but so far I haven\'t given in!!! I\'ve really come to far to give in now anyway.
I hope thngs go well when you go into the school. Your doing so well with exercising, good job!!! Take care, hugs Cathy

Never quit quitting, I know quite a few people that use the gum when they got down to the end of quitting and there are no side effects. My sister would chew one and then next time smoke and slowing just the gum. She still chews one year later but her doctor told her not to worry, it is only nicotine. Treadmill, you go girl..Naomi

WTG on the diet & exercise, Debbie. I have to quit the butts cold turkey. I been down to 10 cigs/day for a about 2 months now. I almost got there back in early Nov. Now I can\'t seem to get my commitment to kick it, back. I know I can\'t use the Chantix be/c of all my psych and Parkie meds. (very dangerous!!!! especially w/BP\'s) I didn\'t want to but I guess I\'m gonna have to eventually go w/some kind of nicotine aid. I\'m just so ready to be over this.

I hear you friend, it is a terrible, unhealthy addiction and it takes a lot of will power to overcome it. Keep trying and so will I. Be well, Debbie
