Greetings, all of my DS friends and I wish you the joy and peace of the season. Also thank you for adding joy to my life even when I'm down. There are not enough words to express my gratitude.
Taking a slow day just puttering around. It's 12:48 and I'm still in my jammies. But I haven't been totally idle. Hubby and I did the weekly testing for the chemical levels in the hot tub. We needed to add a few chemicals to balance out the water but it was easy. Now it's all shipshape for the week.
Yesterday we got a treadmill from my hubby's sister. It is in excellent shape with all the bells and whistles.She did not want it anymore so it was a freebie. I am going to try and use it twice a day for 30 minutes. I'll really like this because I don't like to walk outdoors in the winter, I hate the cold plus the danger of slipping. It also means I don't have to pay to go to the gym.
Yesterday we went to Halifax, our capitol city. There is a specialty store there and my hubby wanted to get some neat gifts for his friend. It is located in a huge super mall area outside of the city so it's easy to get around and parking is not a problem. then we went to a new super mall and they had some of it done up as an old cobble stone street. We ventured into these stores and got some neat gifts. the stores are so spread out that you don't mind the few people in each store. Thank heavens, so my social anxiety was kept in check. We left home at 8:00 and didn't arrive back until almost 6:00. Iwas exhausted.
Just goung to get some groceries in a little while. But i have to figure out how to get a gift I bought for Michael out of the back before we go shopping. Because as soon as he sees the bag and it's size he'll know what's in it. I spent almost $200 on a pair of rubber boots!!!! but, they are specially made boots for temps up to -40 below, they also have a steel toe graded for powersaws and electrical. My hubby does a lot of work in the sugar woods and he needs something that will be warm and keep him dry. and besides, he's worth it!!!
Well, i must get dressed and finish my shopping list. Be well, Debbie

This is a special place to be, and it\'s friends like you that give me that little extra boost I need at times. I\'ve said it before but this is my social life now and I look forward to coming on DS and seeing what everybody is up to.
Your trip to Halifax sound nice, that\'s where I was born and lived there until I was 13, so it\'s a special to me.

Hope you got the boots out of sight in time. It is so important for him to have good quality boots to work in.
I am tired just thinking of you going to Halifax and back and all the shopping in between. Glad you weren\'t upset by the other shoppers. I usually don\'t go to large places in the Christmas season for that very reason. Have a peaceful evening , Blessings. love and hugs. mary
Debbie, you add joy to so many people\'s lives. Just your enthusiasm and willingness to always move forward is so encouraging. I am glad you are getting some things done and you know yourself well enough to know your limits. I miss you and I am sorry I havent communicated much.
