words_58.gif It is the time of year when everyone is busy doing one thing or another,we often forget to stop and reflect on what the season is really all about. We get caught up in the hussle and bussle of the consumerism of the times. I am stopping right now to make time for my dear DS friends today. I would like to say thank you for your support and kind words . It's so... nice to come here where no one judges you for anything. It just nice to be me for good or bad, you accept me for me. What  a blessed relief that is somedays. I know that not all of the members here are of the same faith and we may have many varied and different opinions about religion but that is never an issue here. We all have one thing in common, to help, love and support others who are suffering in anyway we can. That is the true meaning of Christmas!!!!

I also stopped today to visit with my mum and dad. They live in the same town but I rarely see them because of their strange schedules but i do talk to them every day or so. It was just nice to sit and talk for a few hours.  I also got to see one of my nephews that I haven't seen in awhile, he's been living away. He's a really nice kid, 18, i think. He got caught up with a bad crowd and started down the wrong path. but thank heavens before he got too deep his girlfriend wanted to move home, the other end of our province. Her father offered him a job plus they had a free apartment to live in. He's been gone for almost a year, they broke up but it was on good terms. He's home now living with my mum and dad until he can get his feet under him. He has matured immensely and I hope that he stays on the straight and narrow.

I spent 4 hours last night with a good friend who also suffers from severe depression and she really needed someone to talk to and share her feelings with, to feel validated and told that she in fact, not going insane. I enjoyed the time with her. We hope to get together once a week for coffee and some emotional support.

tonight is supper out with our friends. i'll have to be extra good because I've put on 5 pounds. boom just like that, those damn meds. I try to be so good but after you diet for so... long you begin to feel deprived and then you endulge way too much and defeat the whole thing. I really want to be slimmed down for the cruise at the end of Mar. Maybe a good insentive.

Anyway, i have to go, I'll catch up on journals later. Be well, Debbie

Awesome journal, it is definetly the time of year to reflect on your beliefs and share youself with others. I also love this site, I can sit here in my jammies, bad hair, and no make-up and none of you care, you still are my friends. I have told all of you things that people who are close to me do not even know, how great is that. You have a way of expressing yourself and making us realize we feel the same way. You are truly a DS friend. Thank You Naomi
