Greetings my dear DS friends, I know I have not been around much the last few days. Things have been rather hectic around here. I've had a myriad of doc appointments, getting kind of tired of seeing them. Plus getting some things ready for Xmas, it's not that far away now and will creep up on us. i am pretty much through with the gift shopping, thank heavens because the malls are crawling with people and I just can't stand it!!! My hubby and I went to Moncton today. We went to the spa company to have our hottub water tested to see what we were doing right with the chemicals and what we need to do. the woman was very helpful and she discussed our needs and the procedures very clearly. We were doing a pretty good job. She has a fancy, high trch machine that tests for all kinds of things in the water from the ph level to the water's hardness etc. Then we went to the mall and we did not stay long, it was a nut house and it will only get worse. When we came home we went to a local store named Dayle's and they had 20% off and no tax. We bought over $400 worth the Xmas stuff. I actually got my father in law finished and he is so.... hard to buy for, yahoo!!! I've been putting up just a few decorations around the house, the new ones I have bought. the tree and the other trimmings doesn't start until Dec first.

I made carrot soup on Thursday and we really enjoyed it. We have enough for tonight's supper. i also froze some and gave some to a friend. when i make it I always do a double batch, it's just as easy.

I'm now in the process of making the menu for Boxing Day dinner at my house, all the family comes. i may have already told you this, my memory is like a sieve. anyway, I think we'll go with the make your own sub idea, nice and eay for me.

A friend of mine that also attends Women's Group with me have decided to give everyone in the group including the leaders a little gift. there are only 12 of them. We bought the really tall mugs with Xmas designs ( the $0.99 Store ). then you add a packet of hot chocolate, 3 Xmas hersey kisses, 10 mini marshmallows and a candy cane. you make the chocolate as directed, add all the other stuff and stir with the candy cane, yummy. We will wrap the stuff in red tulle and a ribbon that has a tag on it that gives the directions and then set it in the mug. All this only cost about $24.00 split 2 ways, $12.00. We are also goung to have a little Xmas feast at this next meeting. i'm bringing a fruit tray with dark chocolate dip ( sinfully delious ), my friend is bringing a veggie tray with dips. the other ladies are supplying crackers and cheese, plates, forks, spoons. It should be yummy!!! That's our last meeting before Xmas and then only one more in the new year.

My hubby is feeling so... much better but he still has a rather nasty cough. But his blood work and xrays were clear. So it was just a really vicious virus and it had to run it's course. so far so good and I don't have it. I would think that if I was going to get it I'd have it by now.

Hubby is going with a friend to their usual Sat. night hickey game so I'll try to catch up on some of my journals. I'll probably only do the most recent ones. sorry but I have way too many to answer each one but I will make sure that evryone gets some kind of a reply.
