I've been up since 1:30 and do not feel sleepy so I decided to answer my emails from DS site, I had lots because I was awy Mon.. I knoe that it will catch up with me tomorrow but I'll worry about that when the time comes.

My 2 girlfriends and I had a marvelous time on the Island. Monday we arrrived around lunch time but before we got to her place  Linda, my girlfriend and I always stop at "Cows" it's a very popular spot to stop for ice cream, very yummy and loads of flavors. My girlfriens is an ice cream fiend, so it's part of our ritual to stop their for a cone. they also have a boardwalk with some nice little store we take a quick tour through. I even talked her into buying a pair of crocs, actually a knock of brand but as far as I'm concerned you can tell the difference. Then it was off to our friend's.

She had lunch almost ready for us a beautiful quiche,whith a salad with raspberries, nuts and lettuce and a sweet oil dressing,really yummy. They make their own wine, they have a very good sized vineyard. So we enjoyed an entire bottle for lunch plus I had brought a light wine flavored green apple wine, very refreshing. We sat on the deck in the lovely sun and gabbed. a little later we had to go to the shed above the house to get the pork roasts for a late supper plus we picked three large containers of raspberries. Then she put the pork on the barbeque on low and put the roast on a shallow pan covered with foil for about 3 hours on med/low. Later she added another dish with potatoes with skins rolled in oil. We had steamed green/yellow beans plus snal peas fresh from her garden steamed. That with her wonderful homebread. To top it all off we had rasberry cheesecake. Oh, my heaven's was I full. Then we went back on the deck to gab somemore. Also forget to mention that another friend that now lives on the Island came for supper and stayed til 9, it was a nice visit. Then the 3 of us went inside and had a couple of kahlua and milk and gabbed some more, til 12:00 and then I was done in.

Tuesday, we had a wonderful breakfast and then did our usually ride around stopping a neat little shops. I bought 3 more necklaces, I need them as much as i need another hole in the head LOL. We had oto cut our visit a few hours shorter than usual becaue my friend had commitements at home she couldn't get out of. But that was okay,we may get over to see her again in Sept.

I felt the best I've felt in weeks, I know it's probably only temporary but I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Below is a little verse of a card that I think is very... appropriate
