Update

Just an update on how I'm doing, I haven't hit in a few weeks, since the end of December, I haven't cut since August 22, and I've been following a healthier eating plan since the first of the year.  I'm not eating too much or too little, so in general I feel better about it all.
Still get hit with depression constantly.  I figure the holidays are tough for everyone, so who am I to complain.  New school year has started, last one didn't end how I wanted it to.  Straight A's but one B in the class that the professor saw a lot of potential in me and was going to put my name in for some internships.  I felt so depressed and unmotivated during the time I had set aside for studying for that final that I didn't study and didn't bother to answer the essays thoroughly.  Didn't think I could show my face in front of him this semester, but I've got him for a class and he brought up starting an independent study on some research I have been interested in so maybe it won't be so bad.
I gotta get ready for class, so that's it for this journal entry, hopefully I can start writing in this everyday for a while, it seems to make me feel better.

You\'re really doing amazing, you know. Depression is tough but you are just that much tougher for handling it as well as you are.
You really need to forget about that B though. The teacher obviously sees the potential in you and that means his respect for you extends beyond grades. If he is talking about applying your abilities in a more real world way (the independent study) that clearly means hes on your side whether or not you performed the best grade wise. Maybe look at this as an opportunity to rewrite what happened last semester? Better yet just forget last semester and move on!
Either way I am so impressed that you are not cutting or hitting, and that you are eating well. Good luck keeping it up.
