I GOT FIRED!!  I went to IOP group this morning and the leader, whom I like very much, instead of staying work out the job – she told me to QUIT!  So I went back to the office and the tension was in the air.  The boss wasn’t back from his vacation yet, and they had received and opened the letter I sent the boss.  I did not know it but he showed up, and hid upstairs while I went to the operations manager to review something I had apparently messed up.  I finished cleaning out my desk, I did not have a lot there anyway, all I was waiting on was to see the big boss and have it out.  He sneaked up behind me and told me to take a week off to see if I wanted to keep the job.  That the environment wasn’t going to change and I had to live by his rules.  I tried to interrupt saying that I didn’t want to stay, he said fine get my stuff, and I said I wouldn’t work in a hostile work environment, he then said to leave that maybe someone else would accept me.  I said thank you, laid my papers down, and walked out the back door!  And you know what?  I FEEL GREAT.  My biggest stressor went down the river of life with out and I’ll never see it AGAIN!!
