What is wrong with me, I just want to cry.  My boss has been critizing me a lot lately, and I am taking it too hard.  I had typed a lot more about it, but that’s it.  He doesn’t mean to come across gruff, but he does and it hurts me.  Almost no one likes him.  There have been other issues around the office.  People are gossiping about him and another worker, and I hate it.  I am a Christian, not perfect but I try.  I know I don’t want to talk behind other’s backs, but how do I avoid it?  I want to just cry, but I can’t.  Thankfully he has a meeting shortly and I think I am going out to lunch.  I know I am, my body is overreacting to this situation, but how I do handle myself?  It’s not him; it’s me and my environment.  I am trying to improve.  I took last Monday and Tuesday off and had a mini vacation, climbed up to 13,000 feet on Pike’s Peak.  So I am trying to change my environment.  I am no longer working over 40 hours in a week.  I have a fish tank in my office.  Before I could post my therapist called, she had cancel my appointment and rescheduled for a short time after I wrote this on my computer.  I hate her.  I had already decided I needed a new therapist.  They think I am acting out for attention, god I wish.  I am so alone in this that is why I cry out in cyber space.  People here understand me, and we all want to help each other.  She now thinks I am telling the docs how to do their job.  I sent an email with my symptoms, most worrisome was the nausea.  I explained it seems to relate to tree pollen and that when I was a junior in high school I had been seen by a doctor who said it was allergies.  (This year my body is under a lot of stress.)  I asked them if I should come in or try an over the counter med.  They sent back an email saying to try an OTC med.  It has worked.  I hate how she is passing too quick of judgment.  She has abandoned me in my time of need.  I also told her I quit taking the Prozac that it more my environment than my brain and I don’t want to walk around labeled depressed for a couple of years.  She seemed fine with my decision.  I will be emailing the psychiatrist later, and I so want to tell her off.  I may start an internal investigation into this matter with the HMO.  I guess now I need help finding a new psychotherapist, any suggestions?

If you have your free choice of who to see, you can start looking in the yellow pages, see who is close enough to you, and make a few consultation appointments. If you like someone, try them out. Sometimes, people who seem at first to be a good fit, turn out not to be. One of the therapists I was most terrified to meet with, turned out to be one of my favorites. Just keep looking!!
