Today
I've taken legal steps to remove my father's next of kin right to me. I contacted a lawyer this morning and the papers are on the way. I also contacted my cousin and have given him the rights. He agreed to this.
It feels like losing my husband in a way, only I don't get to take time off to heal. It's a living death.

so sorry to hear that it has come to this for you....but you have to look out for yourself....take it easy, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers....hugs, Sandi
You have to look after yourself. I am glad your cousin wants to take the responsibilities on. Good for you.
I, too, am sorry that it had to come to this. Perhaps now that someone will be responsible the relationship will change and your dad will be a little easier on you. I am glad that you could make the decision and I hope that this will be the beginning of an easier time for you.
Hugs, Dianne
Tru,
I cannot imagine the conflicting emotions you are feeling right now. I\'m glad you have taken steps for peace in your life. Be confident that you are taking care of yourself after so much chaos. I hope your cousin has a strong constitution. Blessings to you. TJ
So very sorry it had to come to this but as said by so many you need to put yourself first...and happy to hear someone else is willing to take on the responsibility...Hugs, Ellen
Heart breaking for you I\'m sure..but also freeing in standing up for yourself. Prayers for peace and strength to continue growing and finding your way. It\'s enough to just deal with grieving without somone who\'s suppose to love and support you being mean. Hugs to you...D
That is really hard. I have family problems and they seem to have their heads in the sand. My parents are divorced and both want me to \"choose\" my favorite parent. It felt like a war zone. You are doing the right thing and I am with you the whole way. You have to look out for yourself first. Let me know if I can help.
