I give up. . .
I feel like everytime I get my hopes up for something even something silly and small it gets taken away. My current temp poistion should have hired me last Friday, but came to me the week after Mother's Day and said they were gonna wait another month before hiring me. What?!? They had also promised that I would get my health insurance right away no 90 day wait or anything. I was also told that although it "might" still be possible that it wasn't by any means definite. WTF???? Now 90 more days AFTER they hire me to get insurance. Nice.
DH and I had been planning a weekend getaway in Feb for my Bday when I lot my job. We had to cancel it because of the money and DH promised that we would take the trip as soon as it was feasible. We had decided on Memorial Day weekend. I was origially hoping that we would be TTC by the time the trip came around, but that's not going to happen. We were both still looking forward to the trip, as when I do eventually get hired I won't get any paid time off for almost ayear (YIKES). DH took off yesterday and today as since when haven't gone anywhere he has accumulated a lot of time off. About 2 months ago DH was diagnosed with a rare form of degenerative arthritis. He has been doing OK on hs meds, but we are still waiting for the results from a myriad of tests. Yesterday his knees got so swollen that he couldn't even walk. I mean the guy was in seriously bad shape. He hasn't had this type of problm since going on the meds, which means they are most likely no longer working after on 6-8 weeks of use.
There is no way that he can make a 2 hour car trip and our destination hs a LOT of walking. He is really depressed ad upset that we can't go, and frankly so am I. I am so sick of things like this happening. It's just not right. I know that there are much worse things that losingĀ a weekend away, but it just feels like even the small things I try and do to feel better, more normal just get taken away too.
What's the point?
